Thus far i have

1- elec bolt, charged bolt, Rejuv,

Maxed

Lesser Heal, Light Restraint, Glairing Light, Holy Light, Magic Weapon Mastery, Magic Mastery (Elec)

Holy light and Magic Mastery Elec are only lvl 7 atm due to my current toon level.

I am level 80 toon, still have 40 skill points to use, and i have 30 dna pts to use. Looking for people who know what they are talking about.

I appreciate all the help.

pvp or pve? or mixed?

mall user or free?

theres subtle differences with each.

get sleep though. will save you many times.

DNA is easy since you just select extended aoe ones - lightning restraint and holy light. increased aoe range is optional. lesser heal casting speed to instant is also a must. lightning restraint is by far the scariest skill a tempest has and it ensures all your other skills can hit your target multiple times.

I appreciate all the help Exilehunter.

well max sleep, probably add 1 for soul depuration for when mystics totems dont do their job. an instant cast lesser heal is a must.

party buffs are really up to you. many raids will only include a tempest that knows seal of accel at least but for solo grinding and what now, the benefit isnt as great since it doesnt last that long compared to cast time required.

blessing of haste is more useful than weapon of god for melee. the dna for WoG isnt actually that necessary (and hardly any melee will notice if you have it or not).

divine protection is gear dependent as the defense gain is marginal but sometimes useful if you really are too squishy. its not a priority.

other dna can all be used to pump your aoe attacks.

things like instant moving are useless for pve. godly mirror is useless for pve as well as physical damage received is either going to be negligible or going to kill you first.

thats about it. tempests are fairly straightforward. its just the party buffs you need to be wary of. i havent played tempest in a while so i'm hoping someone else can be clearer on them.

So worths Godly Mirror in PvP?
Asked few players and more than half said it's a waste of points.
But I saw some videos and Godly Mirror looks fun and effective, even tho you never know where you end up.

you are mixing godly mirror and instant moving.

godly mirror is a half-baked reflection skill.

instant moving is a random teleport skill.

instant moving is only worth it if you can cast it instantly via DNA and is only good for PvP. however, the best map to use it on was SvS - path of norns since that had intense bottlenecks that a random tempest could popup from behind, sleep the wall of players and then aoe them. there arent many decent maps to use it on anymore w/o you risking falling off a cliff. it can also be used to warp out of binds and slows. its fun, but dont expect it to always be useful.

Yes indeed I messed up the names, think I had in mind the post above.

And your totally right, now regretting my 4points in Instant Moving. Ending in enemy's aoe wouldn't be so good.
Thanks.

i dont think tempests can warp when rooted... but at this moment im not sure if i have ever just rooted one who wasnt already in Terms of Service.

Anyway: I'm super jealous of this skill, escaping out of dangerous situations is important. So if i had a tempest I'd definitely skill that.

it grays it out when you are rooted same as dashes. it is a nice skill with a few small issues, like accidentally teleporting out of a union area, or teleporting underground in normal maps. bit of a hassle. the other thing is its not really INSTANT, the casting animation when you make the cast instant is sooo long. druids and sins/srs can catch you otherwise you can run away and heal quite well
