I've had enough of this thread, ok sorry to those who are lvl 60+ and don't have the new job change, but all of this should of been expected, they did promise something yes, but its not their fault that its not here but baruson or however you spell it. If you want to complain, complain to them anyway, just be happy that the game is still here, what if no one adopted this game then all of your efforts would of been a waste to begin with but gravity decided to adopt the game though they knew they were already going to hear complaints from Veterans of this game, on when the release and the drawbacks. Now the gms have no say so in what they can and can not add you have to realize that they are supervisors of the game not developers. Now when the 4th jobs are released and you reach 70 cap master your skills, pvp and whatever you will be back in the same situation waiting on something new.


Now ask yourself this would rather have the game and a small delay or would rather not have the game at all, i think majority of you will chose the first one. Wake up to reality nothing is perfect and remember this is a F2P MMO not a P2P so not everything you want will come right away its harder to fix things on a F2P then a P2P since players are not paying to play the game, they don't have as much funding as others. I can go on with this but nothing going to bother because some of you will look pass the common sense stuff just because your upset or impatient because they released a news letter and the stuff they had planned to released was held back due to some situations. If you have a problem quit and don't come back its not going to effect the game people can be easily be replace in the game with some one new.

Thank you gravity for adopting dragonica and allowing us to be able to log in the game again and thanks for your hard work.

How does F2P equal less funding for the game as opposed to P2P? If P2P was a guaranteed model to generate more revenue, it makes no sense for the CEO of any prospective gaming company to adopt a F2P model unless they have down syndrome.

in what world by what logic should this be expected. If you followed the progress of this patch's release you would know what to expect and what not to expect. Dont go all smartypants on us. You don't even know how to spell the developer company's name. That alone shows how much you are familiar with the issue.

We are. I think you owned yourself right here because we know what GM's jobs are and we are voicing our opinions to get passed to the developer who's game you play but have no idea who is making it.
With the 4th jobs and lvl 70 cap there are areas that are in our level range that we will be able to farm. Right now, there is nothing within our level range that will make grinding/farming efficient enough.

You dont care SO MUCH that you just HAD to come and say how much you dont care. And your insight is so important to us, especially when you come to us for advice and guidance in Dragon Saga. I dont think these comments are negative, as i said previously WHICH YOU DONT READ i think they are highly constructive.

There has been no patch. Patches are for updating; not downgrading.

This thread isn't about not wanting new patches. It's that Barunson told Gravity, who subsequently advertised as such, that the patch would be released with certain things included. They changed it and now people are rightfully disappointed.

Complaining about complaining only works if you actually read the post. And even then...

Take a look at who is complaining about this issue.
- Great lets pat them on the back for doing such a good job on getting our characters back. We are the ones who will further spend money so it is in their interest to keep us.
- It is their job to be active with the community. I am sorry you are used to the poor THQ*ICE admin activity. Also a lot of the questions asked did not have an answer. And take a look at the people who are complaining now and the ones who's questions were answered. Both me and Yurai asked questions that were relevant for the community, and not the "how do i run gateway?" Dont put me in the same class as those people, thank you.
- Again if they didnt a lot of people would quit as cash items are a part of our characters and our account. It is in their interest that people stay.
- The EXP event isnt for us as we have already capped and are on 100% for months. As we have stated earlier, having alts is not in our interest, and people who are 65 for months probably have 7 alts that were produced while waiting for the patch.
- Yet again, i think youre talking to the wrong people. None of the people who voice their opinion lacks the intelligence to OPT OUT by accident. We actually read announcements and have been active in helping other members to clarify confusion about in-game content, mechanics and technical problems. I believe INCLUDING YOURSELF.
- This last one is not an argument as it is their job to do so.

I had no problems with THQ*ICE before they mysteriously vanished. I don't know from when did YOU start to play but THQ*ICE was a pretty good publisher while it was around. If i knew the details of their downfall i could tell you more but since it is a secret, i dont know the details therefore i cannot. No one said gravity is not doing a good job, we are mainly asking where is the content that was introduced, since after the patch got here no one said a word about a few tiny things missing in the game from that list given to us and what the whole hype was about.

1. This game would have still accumulated money even if all characters were wiped, all of the people who are still infatuated with this game will continue to buy cash in order to give themselves that same advantage. As well as the general population buying cash items as a whole so its not a 'Win some lose some situation' in either scenario. Its called an act of kindness.
2. Yurai is angry about something that wont let her proceed father in the game while your weapon got nerfed. While you may feel weaker because you lost X amount of damage, the "people" you want to associate with who have similar weaponry experienced the same nerfs which in turn only changed the communities damage. Your reasoning on that discussion was "IAH and gPotato didn't make a fuss about it so maybe if we do they will change it". I am not going to dive into this topic at all for obvious reasons.
3. So the community is a majority of level 65s without alts? Is that the demographic this game is brought to? How about we make another thread asking for a seperate client and server for people who just want 1 character and constant progression, lets cater to the upper crusts every whim.
4. I am not attacking the community Tao, your missing the point. I am simply pointing out what gravity has and has not done, Yurai claims that the community is "shafted" and just because a group of players can't progress it is their fault since there was a clerical error in a newspaper. Who was the first person to reply to this thread? That is right, Calanor. I know it is their job as a admin but people can do their jobs well or poorly. I appreciate their activeness on these forums based on my experience on other MMO/game forums such as WoW, FLYFF, Maplestory, LoL, and more.
5. I reiterate, people can do their job well or their job poor. Would you rather have your ticket answered a day from it was sent or a week. How about people who submit tickets in video games and not receive a response at all? I believe that would be the proper time to consider the community "shafted" if that was a normal occurrence.

I started playing since Alpha and i know THQ*Ice was a good publishing company. Was as in past tense as it suddenly went down the drain. I quit the game when things started to get out of hand and rather then play a stacked game i decided to quit and come back in the future. You not knowing me is a good thing since the THQ forums were reduced to a bunch of petty squabbles and children which is a nice foreshadow of what these forums are slowly becoming.

tl;dr

No one is getting special treatment and making a thread pretty much pointing out the faults about a company does not mean they are going to pull out a new overhaul patch overnight to cater to a snobby minority of the community.

then again like Yurai said this is only my opinion. Feel free to say i'm wrong and continue to gauge my eyes with useless banter.

1. It was within their best interest to keep old players as well as getting new players. I wouldn't call that kindness just a win-win situation.
2. please point out to me where yurai, "said it's your fault gravity." He was asking WHY that information was wrong not saying, "oh it's your fault then."
3. I disagree with you thqice was not a good publisher. They started off alright, but the way the forums and the game ended up, it was just irresponsibility on there part.
4. The warrior classes got a weapon buff while everyone else got nerfed for no reason, but that's a balancing issue. Your wrong about 65s not having alts. I just think everyone wants to be treated equally. So the big question there is why don't we have an update that other versions have had for several months? Parts of that question have been answered already and I'm sure if gravity was allowed to they'd give us every spec of detail they had. Personally I just think barunson doesn't like us.

Meh, they've done a decent amount of work in upgrading the game so far. Questing you know, is actually worth doing. Things will slowly come. Arguing and putting my two cents into this all is kind of well, just not worth it. As I completely didn't feel like reading this anymore. So, people can complain all they want.And people will always respond and make up gibberish because they feel it's cool to have 'the last word'. Man, forums; a bad version of high school. I don't care anymore~ So, argue on and respond to me for your last word, even though I won't be looking at this thread ever again. ( you know who you are. )

Wow. I will agree with Yurai on this issue. The game was changed at the last minute. I myself am not a pro veteran. I play alot and keep up with news. But the odds of actually expecting/predicting they wouldn't have the 4th job chapter is almost non-existant. Those like myself who have been on WP's forums since THQ closed the server have seen all the updates that the GM/CM/mod's have been posting.

I specifically remember one of the pinned articles saying they were completing testing on the 4th jobs. Nothing else mattered. There's barely a scent of the 4th job. I would have even appreciated a bulletin saying "No 4th job Content Yet" as soon as they mae the commecial launch. It would have saved us the time to look for it. At that time are still restricted from telling us it's not there while we are on our way to check? I don't think so.

I like how some of you new players are coming in saying "just grin and bare it." What you fail to realize is that most of these "capped" players are the one who actually PAY to play the game. These are the people that Gravity has to appease to. You think they just took up this game as some simple non-profit project? LOL. They are here to make money. People saying that getting all of our stuff brought over from THQ was kindness? Please. That was intelligent marketing. A tactic to bring in guarenteed spenders.

So tho the person who said something about the gaming industry. It really works like this...

As some of them already know that. They know that as group what they want matters. The people that are here saying stop complaining are not thinking about the money aspect behind this whole project, you're only thinking from a mere gamer's point of view. What drives the world are the people who refuse to grin and bare it. Yurai's post here was most likely aimed at getting the CM's to provide some info but some of you took it for face value. The CM's have been so busy dealing with new players that it appeared to me like the 4th job part was escaping the limelight.

I am happy that Yurai broke in the way he did. And look at all the people who are willing to respond to this instead of using their 2 cents and helping some new players to decrease the workload of the CM's. I can see why people are saying the new in game community isn't all that good.

The funny thing is, Yurai did not defame the company's name in his original post at all like some of you are claiming.

He simply pointed out the truth, we were all lied to in that newsletter, if it made Gravity look bad then that's their own fault.

I wanted to be a little behind all the first people to get 4th jobs so I could hop right into it with knowledge. At this rate, I might actually get to 60 and be working on have the requirements for the 4th job.
