Premium Account Changes
In an attempt to further improve the benefits for being a Premium Account subscriber, the following changes have been made.
The login delay to receive your Premium Box has been reduced to 5 minutes from login, instead of 1 hour.
Also, the delay between being able to get a Premium Box has been reduced to 6 hours, instead of every 23! Those weekend play sessions now have extra benefits!
The contents of the Premium Box has been thinned out to yield more items that are immediately beneficial and useful for most Premium Players

Client Updates
Adjusted trading restrictions so that the cooldown will not apply when attempting to trade to allies while in combat.
Combat timer reduced from 10 seconds to 5 seconds.

Monster Balances
Corrected many 'double buffed' instances of monsters and applied correct EXP bonuses for monsters that were placed in to special enhanced categories.
HP of monsters generally didn't change too much, however defenses were lowered as well as attack power.
 

 

Class Changes

 

Soldier

The idea behind the changes to defenses is to increase the amount of damage that is blocked, trading off the frequency it is blocked. Reviewing the damage mitigation of the class, it was a little higher than desired and through the amount of feedback from players on the matter, the class is intended to remain more durable while utilizing a shield, but we've reduced the damage mitigation slightly through these balance changes for defense.

 

Taunt

Range reduced my 5m.
Cooldown is now 20/17/14/11/8, increased from 15/12.5/10/7.5/5 seconds.

 

Shield Mastery

Increased DEF block value amount to 30/60/90/120/150, from 20/40/60/80/100
Increased DEF block percent amount to 30/60/90/120/150%, from 20/40/60/80/100%
Increased MDEF block value amount to 25/50/75/100/125, from 20/40/60/80/100
Increased MDEF block percent amount to 15/30/45/60/75%, from 10/20/30/40/50%

 

Block Training

Reduced block chance to 2/4/6/8/10% from 3/6/9/12/15%

 

Crossbow Training

Reduced Attack Power by 1% per skill level.

 

Double Shot

Reduced skill power growth by 1% per skill level.

 

Trap Arrow & Trap Arrow (PvP)

Reduced skill power growth by 1% per skill level.

Knight
Along with the defensive adjustments, the crossbow knight was proving to be more offensive than intended and resulted in a minor reduction in the skill power for the skills.

 

Advanced Defense Training

Increased DEF block percent amount to 30/60/90/120/150%, from 20/40/60/80/100%
Increased MDEF block percent amount to 15/30/45/60/75%, from 20/30/40/50/60%

 

Advanced Shield Block

Reduced block chance to 2/4/6/8/10% from 4/8/12/16/20%

 

Crossbow Mastery

Focus Shot

Base Skill Power reduced as a result of skill power progression of required skills.

Cooldown increased to 40/35/30/25/20 from 20/17.5/15/12.5/10 seconds.

 

Muse

 

Mystic Deflection

Reduced block chance to 3/6/9/12/15% from 4/8/12/16/20%

 

Cleric
Like the Knight, the frequency of blocking has been reduced from the base standpoint for the Support Muse/Cleric. They still retain their mastery to improve their block rates through stat allocation, which remains their advantage over the Knight, who does not have the option, but they will not be given a boost to defenses as the tradeoff, since that is an existing established difference in defensive mechanics.

Also, given the strength of being able to always sleep a group, we've reduced the chance of being affected to help level the playing field, but still left it at a high chance rate so it is more useful than a flip of the coin.



Mystic Deviation

Reduced block chance to 3/6/9/12/15% from 5/10/15/20/25%

 

Sleep Cloud

Success of sleep reduced to 80%, from 100% chance.

 

Hawker
Reviewing the damage output of the crossbow vs the bow, we recognized that there were more mechanics to gain attack power making it substantially more offensive than a bow user on a natural level. We've scaled back some of the growth rates of the natural offensive abilities of the crossbow tree and gave a significant boost to the design intention ability of the bow user by turning Bow Focus in to a personal high critical support skill, to add to burst damage from criticals. In combination with other passive skills, this can greatly improve the offensive capability of the bow users.

A similar treatment was also done for the Katar/Critical designs to reinforce their offensive and quick and hard striking needs to assassinate targets in short matters of time.

Dual Hawker/Raiders - we are working on making the Mirror Phantasm and Evasive Guard skills to provide their defensive bonuses outside of normal buffing, so that they will always be available to use and stack with buffs.

 

Crossbow Training

Steady Arm

Increased ratio needs for DEX to Attack Power by 2 DEX per skill level.

It is now 9/8/7/6/5 : 1 Attack Power, from 7/6/5/4/3 : 1 Attack Power

Crtical increase is now a flat 5/10/15/20/25% critical chance when used.

Duration set to 60 seconds.
Cooldown is now 120/110/100/90/80 seconds.

Scout
Reviewing the crossbow tree to the bow tree, the crossbow was naturally stronger for both skill and natural attacks. To offset this, we've increased the frequency in which skills may be accessed which will result in a reduction to power output in certain conditions, while we also have reduced the natural passive to attack power as well.

Artisan
Giving the Artisans the same treatment as the Cleric's Sleep Cloud, having the ability to mass sleep with confidence is a powerful tool. To allow things to be more fair without making the skill undesirable in use, we've reduced the success chances in the same manner.

 

Hypno Shot

Success of sleep reduced to 80%, from 100% chance.

 

Bug Fixes

  • Corrected the 'Lucky Spin Special EXP/Drop bonus' for the Traditional Black Chinese Costume. The bonus will remain till the end of the year.
  • The Snowboard and Moldie Snowboard are set to the tradable restrictions for Item Mall purchased equipment, due to the nature of the set being tradable while in a packaged form and the rest of the costume also being tradable, so it may be kept as a set.
  • Planetary zones are now going to be enforcing level restriction access, where players are not intended to be able to be accessing them through a cart bug when traveling.
    • Luna zones requires level 70 or above.
    • Eldeon zones requires level 120 or above.
    • Orlo zones requires level 180 or above.
    • Desert City of Muris requires level 200 or above, and the Vizier's Key skill (or be on the quest "The Pharaoh's Key").
  • Corrected the incorrect system message description when casting Attack Power buffs to no longer think it was Attack Speed.
  • Judy will now speak to you regardless to if you are on the Thanksgiving event or not, during the Thanksgiving event.
  • Corrected movement speed rating for Honor, Valor and Crafted foot gear to match standard gear baselines.
  • v493 contained some minor text corrections not caught.

To avoid confusion, the maintenance period is not between 3 ~ 4pm.

 

The maintenance window to begin maintenance is between 3 ~ 4pm. We're going to aim for 3pm, but we may get delayed due to some internal matters, so this is just a heads up that we intend to do a maintenance, but it may not start on time, hence the small window.

Another heads up. Seeing as there's no real way to benefit from knowing the changes before hand.

 

Here's some class balance changes that are intended to go in to effect.

 

I added some notations so you can also be aware of why some chances were done.

 

Soldier

nice will we be getting  the timer reset for free reskills with this?? or is it not really going to be needed just yet?

 

These are relatively light balance points, in consideration to major skill tree changes, so no resets this time. But after the dodge/accuracy gets resolved, then, yes.

When a knight blocks, he will block more damage, but because the block rates are reduced, he will block less times than he did before.

This is just random but the unique skill reset "skill" should've been 24 hours as well, since if we test out our skill builds, of course, some of the skills that we tested were unique skills.

 

Off topic but; is a reinforced shoes really intended to give more m-spd than an honor shoes? (I just noticed this while testing out gears, using orleans)

No it's not. The Honor Aurum and Orlean shoes have lower base movement speed than other pieces of the same tier. It's a bug thats been this way since the beginning.

No it's not. The Honor Aurum and Orlean shoes have lower base movement speed than other pieces of the same tier. It's a bug thats been this way since the beginning.

 

I didn't even notice that until 3 days ago .____. , ok so hopefully this can be fixed asap since it was already like this YEARS ago.

When a knight blocks, he will block more damage, but because the block rates are reduced, he will block less times than he did before.

in other word NERFED  huh ........

I can't really say anything about the crossbow skills, but perhaps with the reduction in direct block rate from Cleric magic tool passives the passive from Mystic Deviation should have been increased slightly. Specifically I mean the Dex per block rate passive.

 

Currently it grants you 1% block rate per 15 dex and what I'm saying is maybe that ratio should be smaller. 1% per 12 or 10 dex for example. This passive is less powerful than a direct block rate passive because you also have to sacrifice stats into Dex in order to benefit it. You can't just get the best buffs and heals and block rate.

Mystic Deflection, 2 SP per skill level, maxing at 5 levels. That's 10SP, for +15% block chance

Mystic Deviation, 2 SP per skill level, maxing at 5 levels. That's 10SP, for +15% block chance and 1% per 15 DEX (when mastered)

 

So that's 31% Block Chance Increase, for 20SP, not counting how much DEX you invest in, to increase your dodge and Wand Attack Power, if you are creating a battle build. This allows you to gain combat in both offense and defense.

 

This is also added on top of the existing block chance you get with a Magic Tool, which can range from 5%, from the Book of Standards to 15% from the Magic Pearl. Making your total block chance, before you increase your DEX 36%~46%

 

To reach 50% with the Magic Pearl, you need a mere 60 DEX. That means you're blocking half the time, reducing damage.

 

Saying it's a nerf, sure, it is, but it is also putting balance where the damage mitigation was overestimated and given too much to begin with.

I love the idea of stackable buffs for raiders and bow scouts, although just a reminder that you might need to readjust some values on evasive guard, since the current buff value wasn't meant to stack with cleric buffs. With a decent charm build you can get 50%+1.5k dodge and 50%+3k def, added on top of your normal buffs will bring about 60%+1.8k dodge and 60%+3.5k def (values taken from a support cleric with 902 cha).

But to get magic tool passive to that point is 40 sp. You try to balance the offense and defense of battle build. How about full support cleric who want to use magic tool for some block rate? They would give up a lot to put in on dex that help only on defensive side and have less heal and buff. These block rate reduction on cleric is just to force full support cleric use only shield because it is not worthy 40 sp to take magic tool passive.

The rest of the change seem fine to me. Good idea on planning to fix evasion guard on dual raider. Please don't forget to fix berserk on champ and self buff on bourg. (I forgot what the skill called that buff temporary ap or mspd and Mdef/def).

Bug Fixes

  • Corrected the 'Lucky Spin Special EXP/Drop bonus' for the Traditional Black Chinese Costume. The bonus will remain till the end of the year.
  • The Snowboard and Moldie Snowboard are set to the tradable restrictions for Item Mall purchased equipment, due to the nature of the set being tradable while in a packaged form and the rest of the costume also being tradable, so it may be kept as a set.
  • Planetary zones are now going to be enforcing level restriction access, where players are not intended to be able to be accessing them through a cart bug when traveling.
    • Luna zones requires level 70 or above.
    • Eldeon zones requires level 120 or above.
    • Orlo zones requires level 180 or above.
    • Desert City of Muris requires level 200 or above, and the Vizier's Key skill (or be on the quest "The Pharaoh's Key").
  • Corrected the incorrect system message description when casting Attack Power buffs to no longer think it was Attack Speed.
  • Judy will now speak to you regardless to if you are on the Thanksgiving event or not, during the Thanksgiving event.
  • Corrected movement speed rating for Honor, Valor and Crafted gear to match standard gear baselines.

 

 

I still think it should be a requirement that the Orlo Quest, and Wayfinder Quest be completed before you can go into Muris. People Teleticket there, get the key, then just use the airship.
