U need to trade in the old versions + crystals for the newer ones
That's really dogged up. It's bad enough, that you can only do 1 of each of these quest per day, & the only way even possible to get enough crystals for an item is to have enough characters, on multiple accounts, to play. Now you also have to the gear in order to get the gear for doing all these quests. That seriously defeats the purpose. You do quests to get gear. On top of that you have some items that are loosing upgrades & cards from doing this.
Not all of these items are even available. So there isn't a way to trade them. That's why I said what I did on top of the fact the NPC only asks what gear you want in exchange for the crystals. It doesn't say you need to have the gear prior to being able to exchange them.
wow this sounds like a very expensive and time consuming pain in the ass
No kidding. More time consuming then expensive though. Looking like another forced party system. Reminds me of the TI's.

No -_- I just read that but it's not completely true. You DON'T have to have the original gear in order to get the items. It just takes 3 times as many crystals to be able to.
