I was gone for several months and come back to twice as many bots and people who ks and now this error. It makes me wonder why I came back........

Which hats are causing you issues? Usually this has to do with a user's client not patching correctly.

I haven't been getting any errors, after leaving clients logged in on town maps overnight a few nights this week, and I haven't heard any complaints about sprite errors lately, either.

 

I think your client is just missing patches, causing normal hats to crash you. Try to figure out when the hats were introduced, and force a repatch from before that date (or reinstall RO).

Moogle is the one who said it was a Hat that causes it, I have been able to see it because soon as it happends RO freezes up. If my client didnt patch correctly it might be because I stopped playing for about 8 or 9 months and didn't patch it once during that time. I just patched it about a week ago. Oh and another thing one of my characters is stuck in a place where I have access to "Weekly Turnin Admin. I has no bwings and no portals out of that place and I have no idea how it got there. Dont tell me my character was locked in there with no way to escape just so the XX's could have there way with me.......

 

 

I have to take a pic of my whole desktop if not all my screenies turn to grey fudge.

Contact the GM team about the char that's stuck in the weekly TI admin room ( support.warpportal.com ). A few characters recently have somehow ended up there, and it's not exactly clear how (do a /where before you get your char out of there and tell me what map it says it's on - I have a theory about how it happens, but can't know if it's viable w/out a /where)

 

The screenshot issue happens if the game is running at a horizontal resolution that is not a multiple of 4.

 

I'd say you should reinstall to fix the sprite errors (I assume that's what you're getting...)

I wanted to bump the spawn up by 1000 or so but it has a password on it. The map is  Inside of Paradise Group Building in Morroc (moc_para01)

Yeah, same map as eden group is on. 

 

I'll bet when they put in those unwalkable cells, you were on one of them, and then you logged in, and it force-winged you (since you were logging in onto an unwalkable cell), and you landed in the GM-only control room, instead of the normal eden group.

That teleport-upon-login-to-unwalkable-cell thing is a really nasty behavior. They should have it send you someplace known to be safe, instead of potentially winging you to places you shouldn't be. At least you can't trigger this with icewall anymore (you can't, right?)

 

Might be a good idea to have a 1-way portal out of that place (or give the NPC a teleport-out option) to get wayward players out of there, particularly if there's a way to do something bad by brute-forcing the password the OP mentioned. 

 

(And, wasn't there some trick to talk to NPCs anywhere on the map using third party program? That could be bad here... Or was that just entering chats that you could do that on, or something generally fixed now? I'm remembering that time with the WoE1 god item creation, where the guy entered the chat room from the start of the hall, thus bypassing the hallway race part)

The recent pizza hat was erroring my friend. He fixed it by deleting the patch.inf file in RO then repatching as admin. He backed it up though, in case.

I'm also encountering the following errors:

• "Cannot find File : sprite¾Ç¼¼»ç¸®¿©¿©_ÇÇÀÚ¸ðÀÚ.act"
• "Spr :: Cannot find File : sprite¾Ç¼¼»ç¸®¿©¿©_ÇÇÀÚ¸ðÀÚ.spr"

I found someone in South Prontera who I determined was triggering the errors, and asked her if she knew what could be the cause. She said it was probably her pizza hat.

Reinstalling the last few months' of updates didn't resolve the problem. I hope I don't have to go much further back. 
 
Edit: I decided to just reinstall all updates released after 2012/10/31 (the date on which the installer I used to install the client was released).
