How does the aggro (hostility) gets calculated in the game? Since the haloween and thanksgiving events spawned bosses in the towns, i wonder how does the aggro get calculated?

Assuming folowing things:

1. 2 parties kill the boss at the same time

2. Party 1 has 5 strong chars, Party 2 has 10 weaker chars.

3. Total aggro Party1: 2 000 000

    Total aggro Party2: 3 000 000

4. Most aggro on a char in party 1: 500 000

Most aggro on a char in party 2: 350 000

So who gets the drop?

- Party 1, because they had the best character?

or

- Party 2, because they have a higher total aggro?

or

- Total aggro gets divided by the number of characters in party and the party with higher aggro pro char wins?

In my case it would mean Party1 wins the drops, because 2 000 000/5 = 400 000 is higher (compared to Party2 where 3 000 000/10 = 300 000)

or

- just the party who had the person who did the last hit on the boss? (That would be pretty stupid, but who knows.... in requiem is everything possible :D

from my experience it ALWAYS was the highest dps that gets drops so if solo KS while other party still has agro due to tank, the highest dps will still get drops, party or non party doesn't matter

seems like +30 or gtfo xD

From my experience, regardless of which group gets the drops; all groups lose from a poor drop rate. There are some skills that generate a lot of agro not factoring in Taunt like Armor Breaker/Shout of Ferocious Tiger. For some reason it really peels mobs off others.

Aggro almost always goes to a class that is not a Prot.  I believe that this is due to a lack of clarity as to the roles of the character classes.

lol. i should have kept my mouth shut.... now everyone can know the secret of this screwy game!

yes, the highest 'single' DPS'er will always get the drop. so the uber damage dealers (normally a saker due to fire resist down) can actually single handedly get all drops if they wanted. they could also join a party for heals and then ditch it last second to get loot for themselves! so if you see this behaviour, you can freely accuse someone of foul play while i watch the drama and eat some popcorn.

in the case of 2 separate parties trying to get 1 boss loot, a tank who has aggro is actually in the way of showing who would get loot by the highest dps. but nooo. people didnt want to listen to me so thats their loss :D

i would rather tempest using ascension and full int jewel set and trinity staff. will generate almost no agro but that damage wooo!

From my experience, the drops are given to the group gave more damage (take more hp). Since you kill more than 50% of mob and let other kill, the drops are yours.

Aggro in this joke-of-a-game called ReQQuiem is actually the biggest joke ever created in the history of gaming.

Anything else is indeed popcorn discussion.

From ym experience aggro is just one of those many things that don't work properly in this game.

Its not true at all! I tanked a boss as WL 100% of the time and the others get the drops. So some of the GMs tell us how does the drop aggro get calculated.

holding boss agro =/= getting drops. drops are not based off of agro, they are based off highest single player damage.

you dont seem to know much...

was there a mystic there? with a saker present? then your damage did not even come close to top

tempest with 2 ground aoe ticks

defiler has 2 ground aoe ticks

and your 87% crit is not impressive

also neither is you pbing, considering a good mystic with a saker present can pop 5k+ per tick on ground aoe, and also constant nukes.

and perhaps you werent the only one using rage?

so no you were not the highest single player damager

There were no decent mystics around. 2500-3100 physical dmg is more than decent. I can make the same 5k+ hits. My mana never ends, so i spam constantly skills. I am pretty sure damage does not decide the aggro for the drop.

Still looking for an answer from some1 who knows the formula.

a trully thick headed player

the player that does the most amount of damage to the boss will get the drops...stop arguing lol...

your 5k per hit once every second, not even considering casting animation does not compare to tempests or defilers doing 3k+ per ground aoe tick + nukes.

and you are not 100 scc so you are not always doing those 5k+ hits

tempest skills are like electro-massage therapy for mobs. hardly any aggro. Feel free Ks'ing a tempest next time.
