So when does a pet leave youre side?

 

Years of RO experience ive never had a pet leave me before and when i loggd in this morning, my cute green maiden is gone D:

Pets generally leave/run away from their owner if their Loyalty is incredibly low or have not been fed for a long time and are starving. At least, that's what I remember as two conditions that cause the pet to leave.

This is close to reality - Pets that are "hungry" or hungrier lose intimacy while out, and if intimacy drops to 0, they'll leave.

 

However, I would hardly call the length of time for this to happen "a long time". You have very little margin for error with pets - many of them will bail on you within under half an hour, even from high loyalty.
