As you recall the job change for monk's lap running portion is out of this world long, and I was on my 5th lap. Then that happens

I did the laps once just to see how bad it was since I always did mushroom previously. But some might actually prefer the laps *shrugs*.

Gonna take my TI for 3 character. Manage to get 1 but unable to login anymore for the other 2...and it was 10 min before maintenance time...

There was an in-game live event contest long ago (was that 2007? or 2008?) to see who could get the highest leveled char in 10 minutes.  All the chars had to start outside the novice training castle before crossing the bridge.   Due to some messups, the contest ran for 12 minutes technically (from watching my own clock).  This was obviously pre-renewal.  The winner got his char up to level 76.  There were a few in the level 4x and 3X range.   There were a bunch in the level 2X range.   And there were a lot of perplexed chars still _under_ level 10 wondering how was it even possible.   Of course, people kept their "outside-the-box" techniques secret. 

 

In another case, Doddler documented how he got a char from 1/1 newbie to transcend (Rebirth) in approx 12 hours of actual playing.  It took him longer than 12 hours on elapsed calendar time of course because he had to eat, sleep, work, document, and write up the article segments (as he progressed) and then publish it on his website.  It's important to note that you could tell from the overall article that he was really _focused_ on leveling the char at breakneck speed.  There's none of this LOL, let's chat a bit while leveling, let's eat snacks and watch anime while leveling, etc.  He was focused on what he was doing.   If you're the type of player who cannot get into a hardcore mental state focused on using your already-learned skills to then succeed at a particular task at a "forced march" pace, then you'll be unable to duplicate that. 

 

In another case, Doddler showed how it is possible for a renewal 3rd class char (level 138) to kill an MVP solo without wearing any gears _and_ wielding no weapon _and_ having no one else helping _and_ in one encounter (no dying and coming back to finish it).  His video of that is still on youtube.  Just search for ragnarok doddler naked challenge.  He shows you his character's stat build in the video so I presume you could duplicate his feat if you so wished.  I like his unworded end statement of how he is the master of his own fate when he walked into the fire.

I've been playing RO for 10 years, 6 of it competitively.

 

Kid, you're full of crap heh. Pre-renewal to lvl 76 in 10 mins my ass. Post proof then, yeah?

 

Most of my RO experience was pre-renewal. Even with the mercenary system involved, it would of taken time to set all of it up. It would of taken time to do the job changes, it would of taken time to get items necessary to survive and power level (flywings and pots namely). Hell, even assuming he didn't job change, that would be a serious setup beyond belief. OMG I HAS SUPER HAX LEVELING TECHNIQUE. I GET 20 MILL XP PER 10 mins STARTING AT lvl 1 LOLZ. (lvl 1 -> 76 is 20m xp BTW)

 

Also, killing eddga naked on a fully buffed berserk RK isn't even surprising. RK's are obviously strong buffed up, he was gonna die then berserk'd and got lucky that eddga didn't spam skills on him on Berserk. Not that impressive really, cool, but not amazing.

I can get to 70's in 10 min..... On a novice. I could also 1~99 non trans in 3 hours or less, only on a novice. I am 100% serious.

Ah right. I left before pay2play ended and when there was no such thing as battle manuals. I forgot that all these kafra items would make something like that doable in 10 mins. How ridiculous heh
