So I heard the new Flame Explosion now can hit up to 30k. How was it compared to other class?

(taking all skills between class into considerations)

Not sure about 30k, but I've been doing some Chaos runs with guild members, and when you've got the defense reduction guild skill combined with Seal Explosion, I've seen my FE crit for about 10-11k per hit.

This. I've been doing some testing,

I have 3700-ish MATK right now and my Flame Explosion does around 3,2k normal and around 5 - 6k critical per hit. This was tested only with Flame Emblem and Dragonology.
Still, it's hard as hell to land 2 crits with Flame Explosion, but now I feel that Fireball and Fireball mastery are a waste of points (With Firebolt in 10 and Flame Explosion in 10)
Firebolt gets more automatic attacks and the Pyro bar loads pretty fast, enough to land some nice damage over a minute.
I have stopped from using Fireball after the patch (Even before re-doing my build).

What's your oppinion on actual Fireball and FB Mastery?

I still like FB and FB Mastery. It procs quite often, and an instant cast Fireball still > Firebolt.

FE lvl 5 crits for ~5k with +20% matk boost on. No idea how someone could do 30 k with it.

Look at my screenies in this topic. (sorry to lazy to reupload)

Problem is, Firebolt damage sucks after the patch too. (~1100k hit)

I used to do almost twice as much damage with these skills pre-patch.

I think the damage on mobs in Dayr/Dair Desert is really low because of the crazy mob defense.  If you go back to old world stuff, you'll see that even with lvl 5 Firebolt, you can crit mobs for almost 7k.  Of course, this might just mean that rangers hit for 10k+ on a Charge Arrow.  I don't have any other geared alts to test it on.

So we better off using sequence of Firebolts/Fireballs that giving more total output than current FE, no? Wait, is it?

So, that's just like the same as pre-patch then lol.

:o idk man I have Flame Explosion at 9/10 and I can crit ~25k on Moonlight Phosa (CD), with guild debuffs, so it's still pretty useful in dungeons. But if you're leveling IMO you should switch to pre patch build (firebolt/fireball) because you'll miss a hell of a lot.

I wish they'd extend skill and stat reset scrolls tho.

How do you guys get such huge damage with Flame Explosion? If I maxed mine, I'd do maybe only half of that damage tops, with an exploded Fire Seal on a non-Dayr monster.

I have no idea. Lmao. I ran Payon yesterday and hit bosses from 16k-24k. Like damage per hit would normally be 7k but sometimes I'd see one hit for 15k, which makes zero sense, since they're all crits, wtf.

I'm outdated running a T1 Colosseum set. Though with how much the recent update has downplayed stats and given all our weapons min/max values that don't go very high, I didn't think the difference would be that dramatically huge.

EDIT: Wait, I just spent some time testing Flame Explosion, and it looks like they replaced Seal Explosion's forced crits with double damage instead. That explains the huge numbers, since now we can get the double damage on top of crits for 4x damage. (I was still working under the impression that it was forced crits so couldn't exceed 2x.)

there's really not much to shout about at those crit numbers...those require just the right "set up"

1. you need to have seal explosion on

2. you need to actually land a crit (a low 23% for my wiz right now)

3. doesn't work on dayr desert mobs with high def

so in real world you're prolly looking at much lower numbers most of the time

Wizards' play style is still pretty much the same.  Every class got their damage boosted, but magic classes didn't get scaled as high yet.  I'm hoping that they'll fix that soon.  I think it'll be pretty good then.  We'll just have to see if and when they release fixes.

Ok I had to bring this up again.

It is regarding Wind Emblem. It is said that it will trigger Blitz series when Firebolt is used. Is there anyone use Wind Emblem here and see how the Blitz status looks like? Cuz I tried with a Wiz, he said there's no Blitz status triggered at all. However, Fire Emblem is working fine with its own proc.

Typo they meant Cold Bolt.

Blitz = Wind Emblem: Raging Wind proc I believe.

I see.. So you're saying that Blitz status for Wind Emblem is for Cold Bolt instead of Firebolt as the descripted?

I shall have my friend to check on it again.
