Last night I went to buy a Glorious Cure Wand from the KVM item vendor, and low and behold, the NPC did not offer it. I was quite confused by this, so I decided to read through the list of wares that he does sell. There I saw an item called 'Glorious Healing Staff'. It had different stats then the glorious cure wand, but was a close fit. So I took to google to find out what exactly a glorious healing staff was, and its not even listed in any database for ragnarok. I did however find posts about it on kRO msg boards. What seems to have happened is they updated the weapons without ever updating the NPCs. Even after taking the risk and buying the 'glorious healing staff' hoping that I would really get the 'Glorious Cure Wand' (which I did end up getting btw), the description on the item itself seemed to be wrong. Situations like these are very misleading and confusing to players and can lead to wasted kvm points.

as you can see there are 3 different descriptions for the same item. And this is just the 1 item I happened to notice. There could other KVM items with problems like this. This should be looked into asap

That db entry has the prerenewal matk bonus D=.  This is why I tell people not to use that site.  It is built for private servers and defaults pre-renewal information.

Only mistake I see on the item is the 'hp recovery' eh? they need to fix that.  As for the npc, yeah, healing does need to be changed to cure.

you didnt notice the 'hp recovery' ? lol. hp recovery means how fast/much hp is recovered per second. they clearly missworded it. i wonder how many other weapons have the wrong wording on stats

Should be something like 'The recovery rate of healing items'

I had no reason to read the item description.  I already knew what it did.  I am sure there are plenty of other items with mistakes.  I used to report them a long time ago, but they never got fixed.

 

Btw, I didn't miss it in this post.  The eh? was a 'how the hell did they mess it up that bad' kind of reaction.   Plus I already know what it does.

The KVM npcs definitely need updating and has always been confusing...
