I felt the point of the 3rd job chorus/song abilities over the 2nd job ones is they no longer carried the restriction of the performer needing to follow around the intended recipient (which made most songs impractical for moving battles like PvM and non-precast WoE).
Having non-partied performers, just on your screen, powering up your songs seems difficult to code, so I doubt gravity would do that-- and it also seems too easy/strong. Either abilities would need to have several performers to be any good, or they'd be too strong, and that's kind of lame for PVM. Songs/choruses would have to be divided into pretty much strictly WoE vs PvM, where the PvM ones are decent solo and better with 1-2 other performers, and the WoE ones suck solo and are decent with like 5 allied performers on screen.

Lame duck kRO programmers (I imagine it would be quite an easy thing to change, but I don't know the code base)...I've always wanted the same for Crusader's Sacrifice as well (especially after watching the anime ). You're probably right though, it might run into problems in PvM. The dumb part is, though, that if you throw in 5 performers into a party to maximize the buff, you limit space in the party to only 7 other people. Most active guilds on Ymir have more than one, but usually less than 2 full parties for siege. If they even managed to field 4 performers, you'd want to split them up into separate parties, forcing the chorus skills to always be at their weakest.
Anyhoo, I'm just glad we're on a new page in this thread. I didn't really like the last one.

But the problem is not this one. But instead that what Akin said. If we throw 5 performers in a party, only 7 extra people might be affected by the chorus. I don't think it would be a problem if it affected all the "non-enemy" units on WOE.
But. Most choruses have bad effects as is. So making they affect everyone is not sufficient... Yet. Why would somebody use Lerad's Dew if Song of Lutie is better? Even affecting everyone, Lerad is a shame in the skills. Lerad was supposed to give % of maxHP, instead of giving fixed values. Increased received heals [and potions] would be nice too.
Also. Circle of Nature must be useable at PVM~~~~~ It's a bad effect. And restricted only to PVP... It hurts... ):

I'd be happy if this was all that LD did. Make it like the kafra regen potion.

As a healer/supporter, Performer would need to keep party's HP up without a priest. So +% heal effect I am not keen on by itself. That is more of a "you think priests are good alone, try them with a performer!" type of package deal. That's an idea, but its a huge burden on a party to have a performer+priest+killer+tank when you can have a priest+killer instead and let the priest or killer tank. The heal bonus would have to be major, and then we tread into that overpowered territory.
All that said, I'd do the following;
Separate songs/choruses into three groups, not the 2 KRO just did. A.) Healing B.) Buff C.) Offensive support.
A.) Lerad's Dew, Circling of Nature, Death Valley, Song of Mana
B.) Swing Dance, Windmill Rush, Moonlight Serenade, Lover Symphony, Dances with Wargs, Warcry from Beyond, Infinite Humming
C.) Deep Sleep Lullaby, Gloomy Day, Despair Song, Siren's Voice, Sinking Melody*
* Sinking melody pretty much become a screen wide debuff rather than a party buff after a kRO patch in the recent months
I think Circling of Nature needs to heal like 15% HP every 5 seconds while walking, or something, and do like a +100% heal from potions effect for its duration. That'd keep your HP up if you're not making large mobs, especially if you used one of those life restore pots from the kafra shop with it. I think Lerad's Dew needs to be like +10% Max HP, 3% HP healed every 5 seconds, HP and add 3xVIT as fixed damage reduction (same effect as Gentle Touch - Revitalize). This would be the alternate healing ability as the two songs could not be up at the same time -- one that heals you a large amount over time, the other that makes you take less damage and heal a little bit-- each equally useful but a little different for variety or different leveling methods.
Role in party would essentially be keeping up the healing skill, alternating between whichever is the most useful supportive skill, and using your offensive debuffs on enemies (mostly DSL/Sirens as the others are more WoE oriented). Right now, our PVM role if we're not trying to be a damage dealer is pretty much leeching or playing magic strings semi-afk, as none of the 3rd songs are too useful at supporting, and we can't keep a party alive at all. Poor Wanderers don't even have the strings.

Root of the tree: Voice lessons
Offensive tree being Severe Rainstorm, Improvised Song, Great Echo, Reverberation, Metallic Song, Dominion Impulse, Despair Song, and song of Destruction.
Buff/Debuff tree being Swing Dance, Windmill Rush, Moonlight Serenade, Dances with Wargs, Warcry from Beyond, Infinite Humming, Deep Sleep Lullaby, Gloomy Day, Siren's Voice, Saturday Night Fever, and Sinking Melody.
Healing/Defense Tree being Lerad's Dew, Circling of Nature, Death Valley, Lover Symphony, and Song of Mana
You'd be able to go ranged dps/support or healer/support.

Is there a reason why we can't have chorus skills work additionally with Performer skills? I mean, we rarely ever get two performers in the same party, so why can't we at least have skills like Windmill Rush and Dances with Wargs work together?
This is one of the things which will be added on the balance patch.
BUT. *points to that doddlercon site* The oldest version of W/M had no trouble with this. All the performings could stack. [Except Sinking and Warcry, due to being opposite effects].
If these overlaps did not existed, I don't think Sinking and Warcry would ever need to be changed~
And OMG. If Jaye's suggestion of Circle of Nature was accepted, I would love it THAT much. Of course, no bishops would liek it, because it would make Renovatio useless. [This Circle of Nature would have 5x more power than Renovatio, and would be party-AOE]
Maybe I would make it work close to Renovatio. [3~5% each 5 seconds, more if it keeps draining SP]. Lerad's suggestion is perfect, I think.
