When i updating it keep like this when i exit game or close! Over and over again!

please help me ..if i try to login again it keep update like that..WHY??

If you have let it finish downloading any of the old updates: Reinstall RO or let it run all the way through - it has potentially overwritten up-to-date patches with old ones, and you need to either reinstall or let it apply all the patches to get it back to a good state. 

 

If you have not let it finish downloading any of the old updates:

 

Open Patch2.txt. You'll see a list of patches, each with a name which contains the date, and a number at the start of the line. 

 

Locate the last patch with a date that you KNOW was before the last time you successfully patched. Note the number in front of it. 

 

Go to http://choobs.org/stuff/patch.php and enter that number, download patch.inf, and replace the patch.inf in your RO folder with this one. 

 

 

This issue happens because, in unknown circumstances, the patcher gets confused, and writes a value of 0 to patch.inf, which causes it to try to apply every patch available next time the game starts. Since the circumstances that trigger it are unknown, we do not have any way to prevent it from happening again in the future - just the workaround above to fix patch.inf when it happens.

i don't know if my problem is related, but i suddenly got this problem.

 

first, it was a patch from loooooong time ago, then i wait, it finishes, and found out i can't connect to server no matter what (constantly getting failed to connect to server while logging in)

 

i reopen the exe, it updates again kinda big one, so i noted the date (2013-9-4). but well, it still fails to connect to server while logging in.

 

i reopen the exe again, it re-updates the same date (2013-9-4). and yes, i still failed to connect to server.

 

coincidentally, i found out this thread, tried to download the new patch.inf (tried the latest patch i've done, 2014-1-3). but no, couldn't connect to server.

 

any help?

It sounds like it's not successfully patching the 9/4 update or anything after that, but it's patched stuff from before then - this means that it's replaced some new client resources with old ones, and you need to get the patch to finish successfully (thus fixing the data that the old patches changed) in order to get it to a working state.

 

If you can't get it to patch that file, and all the ones after it, successfully, you won't be able to connect, or you will experience errors if you are able to. 

 

Make sure you are running the patcher as admin (RO should always be run as admin), and you may need to run patchup.exe in the RO folder as admin as well (this sometimes doesn't get run correctly).

 

If this all fails, reinstall.

ok, i found out the solution already, but thanks anyways xD
 
i noted the patch file name, which is 2013-9-4data_gm_r.gpf, it has the number 2331 in front of it, so i downloaded the 2332 from choobs.

 

at first i tried downloading 2331, and it just reupdate the patch over and over x( i also tried 2446 (latest one i patched, which works fine yesterday) but also failed
 
yes, it has reupdated all newer patches after 2013-9-4data_gm_r.gpf and now it's working
