have your AB friend read my 'hey broke ass newbies get in here' thread located in the newbie tutorial forums (its the 1st sticky at the top). you can help him with doing a couple of those quests which should give him enough money to buy some decent resist gear.

i can solo baphomet and and dark lord but i cant kill cenia. i think cenia was more hard to kill then baphomet and dark lord

safety wall helps a ton against cenia

without it her power up+two hand quicken would rape you.

also be careful not to kill her slave more than 1. cuz she would summon 5 more if you do.

 

this may sound harsh but any class that have access to safety wall and didn't max it = fail.

encourage your friend to reset skill.

Yea, Bapho/DL are not too tough. Bapho has a relatively easy EQ to dodge since his cast time is like mega-noob. Cenia is a fighter, she can be evillllllll. I can't offer too too much advice, since my tactic on her is to mainly use Hatii card to null her mobs out.

 

There are other tricks I have done too, there is a tough one but if you do it exactly right, you can get her to walk away from her mobs if you stand on the edge of your screen - where you can only see her and then CC her. She'll then just be alone until she power's up and recalls her crew.

 

Other times I have successfully done it by using Wind armor/AK helm+sunglass of red stone. This helps take out her MB damage, and is awesome for the neutral reduction. Wear wind armor because lurell will molest you with thunder storm with a DR on without wind armor...

 

In ET, the real challenges are... Randgris, Ifrit, Beez, FBH, Cenia, and ofc entweihen and seiger

Don't worry about Drac card,  I have one and have dismissed the idea for RK, 4xmalicious is just too good to give up for SP, that doesn't run too fast anyways.  Just bring ygg seeds and pop them when your HP and SP hit 50%, you'll only use a handful on RK. Can solo bee on a genetic too but it's not as easy to tank, depending on your gears you can do it faster on gene. Tao on RK might beat it.

 

Give your friend a few months, you go solo some stuff get some sick items and when he complains about not having any - offer to bring him with you, only if he resets to the correct build.

I wouldn't count 4 clients as solo.

I would like to ask that is it possible to solo ifrit or Valk with garment carded with Deviling as gene at level 150?

I find it pretty useful on Ifrit when he's in fury, you get at least some tankage but need to have fire armor on to not 1 shot by MS. Valk I will only use DR, nothing else, always in HBP for max neutral reduct, her physical is like the best in game and her mini's are badddd so u neeeeeeed it XD.

 

 

Either way, bring tokens if you're gunna solo them, you're sure to get murked a few times soloing. Best case bring a sura with u, but valks dispell is a b, unless you have gtb. which i don't =[

I am currently following DrAzzy FAW optimized build so I will not get range bonus from HBP. In your opinion, how important is 5% neutral damage reduction vs. Valk?

you cant 'solo' valk or ifrit. you can attack them till theyre dead, die many times in the process, and res yourself with tokens to finish them off. but soloing them in 1 go is pretty much impossible unless the RNG gods shine upon you and grant you all of the luck in the world. even with GTB and deviling equipped at the same time, youre still going to get wrecked by valks thugs all hitting you at once and no physical reduction card in your shield slot to null it

 

soloing nidhoggur on a genetic is also quite challenging and not really worth the stress imo, as he can heal himself to full over and over. tanking him isnt that hard, but if he doesnt die in 3 minutes, youre pretty -_-. getting past all the guardians solo is also a pain in the ass.

May be I did not state my question clearly. What I would like to ask is that is it possible to tank Valk by Gene, except tanking her EQ. I know that I am gonna die to her EQ soloing. But I would like to know is it possible to tank her by using Deviling + Alice + Angeling (hope i will get one) + Abyssmal knight helm + other proper gears.

He is amazing imo . Just to think that how difficult my RK with full buffs, Vit food, and runes have a hard time tanking her.

 

Anyway, I have to agree with you killedbytofu that soloing Valk with 0 death is of great difficulty. In the clip above he also died to her EQ.

Heyo, you should be fine with a DR FAW. Just try to get some 3D glasses if you ever need a tad more neutral reduct.

 

I tried out my full neutral reductions last night, wearing EMH (full meaning, as much as I have atm) which is 70% (+10 immune/3DG/DR HBP) and was taking 320 damage from Atroce in Fury, so it helps quite a bit, I didn't even pot for him. You should be OK with a DR FAW anyways, for Valk it will be tough, but you do get some Holy reduct from FAW so is not all bad.

 

Tofu is kinda right about the MVPs, valk/ifrit, if I ever solo eithe it involves me.

 

a) Running back (ET)

Winging (Map spawn/BB/ without comp)

c) Token (Map/BB with heavy comp or summoner)

 

The secret is just to get it down to as few supplies as possible. I regularly buy tokens to support my MVPing of high-tiers and I don't lose money on it and for the most part make a decent chunk of zeny/items....and eventually MVP cards after enough time and effort.

Do you recommend dr hpb or faw for every mvp wondering if its worth the investment and ive solod ifrit but was a bb and I was winging but no deaths

For mvping use a Nidhoggur for high elemental damage mvps and HBP for high physical damage ones.

I wont use nid or hbp seeing how im a faw build question was about is devilring used for every mvp or worth using for every mvp

DR is not for every MVP, I would never use a Nid on a gene.....you might get a bit more survive-ability but your lack of damage means the MVP will be hitting you for longer.

 

DR is best if you have something with high-damage physical attack (neutral) - but will get you destroyed by elemental attacks
