Patch Notes 1/22

*Additional notes may be added closer to maintenance time (Additional notes and comments will be in red)

 

Master Level Improvements

 

1. Changes on Gaining/Losing Mastery Points and the Death Penalty

 

   A. A Mastery Point Limit has been placed on each Master Rank to work alongside other Mastery Point changes. These are the following limits:

     

     i. D Rank (Master Level 1-10): Max 20,000 MP

     ii. C Rank (Master Level 11-20): Max 50,000 MP

     *Note: Those who have an excess amount of MP right now, these will not be deleted after patch. However, you will not be able to gain any more Mastery Points until the excess amount has been spent.

 

   B. Changes on MP penalty target after death

 

      i. Dying will only remove 5% of the Mastery Points required for your next level. For example, if a Master Level 1 requires 1,000 Mastery Points to get to Master Level 2, upon death they can only lose up to 50 Mastery Points.

 

   C. Buffer system for MP penalty after death

 

     i. There is now a new insurance item called "Divine Protection". It will give a 60 minute protection buff from the death penalty. It is available through the Daily Reward System, and is in addition to what is already in the Daily Reward System. In a future update, "Divine Protection" will be a crafted item in-game.

 

   D. Balance on gaining MP

 

     i. Mastery Points gained from the three Dayr Elemental Temples and the Tomb of Osiris will be increased by 200%

     ii. Mastery Points rewarded from the daily quests in Dayr Desert has been changed to provide more points. 4 new daily quests have been put in. The Mastery Point reward for the quest, Finders Keepers, has been slightly reduced to make up for this change. 

     iii. If a Master Level 11 character or higher completes every daily quest in Dayr Desert in a day, they can receive a reward of 967.7 Mastery Points.

 

   E. Master Level Skill/Stat Items

 

     i. Master Level Skill Point has its Master Points cost reduced from 35,000 to 11,900.

     ii. Master Level Stat Point has its Mastery Points cost reduced from 9,000 to 2,990.

     *Note: For those who purchased Skill/Stat Points prior to this patch, we will be refunding the difference of Mastery Points (so 23,100 MP per Skill Point, and 6,010 per Stat Point),

 

2. Dayr Desert, Dayr Temples, and Tomb of Osiris: Their item drop rates have increased and new items have been added. 

 

   A. Drop Rate for items has been increased for all Master Level areas. 

   B. Drop Rate for Unique/Rare equipment recipes has been increased. 

 

3. Stat Value Changes

 

   A. Physical/Magic attack damage between a character's stats and weapon damage has been balanced.

   B. Character Stats will give more of an effect in regards to Magical and Physical damage, compared to before.

 

4. Master level Equipment has improved

 

   A. Stats on Master Level equipment have been improved. 

   B. Seed Rune Hole has been added for D and C Rank Rare equipment. Rank D equipment will not have Seed Rune Holes.

   C. Seed Rune Hole has been added for C Rank Unique equipment

 

Kafra Update

 

1. New Kafra Items

 

   -Munil's Costume Random Box (Jan)

        Has Chance of Getting:

       1. Innuit Costume (Male or Female)

       2. Romeo & Juliet Costume

       3. Snowman or Snowgirl Costume

       4. Housemaid or Butler Costume

       5. Chance Coupon

   -Munil's Accessory Random Box (Jan)

       Has Chance of Getting:

       1. Thief Hood

       2. Delivery Mask

       3. Duck Beak

       4. Pacifier

       5. Snow Hat

       6. Innuit Hat (Male or Female)

       7. Innuit Tattoo (Male or Female)

       8. Butler's Glasses

       9. Housemaid Hat

       10. Romeo & Juliet Hat

       11. Chance Coupon 

   -Premium Mount Box (with chance of Permanent Polar Bear)

   -VIP Package

   -Polar Bear (30 days)

   -VIP Membership Card (1 day)- Neon Flip Name Tag

 

2. Phantom Pyramid

 

   i. 7F Developer Pukui will be changed into Romeo & Juliet cape

   ii. 6F Angel Costume box will be change into Romeo & Juliet Costume Box

   iii. 3F Fashion Horns Random Box will changed into Fashion Mask Random Box

 

3. Munil Exchange

 

   i. Sleep Shade can no longer be traded with Chance Coupons

 

4. Set Effects

 

  i. Ending Set Effects

 

     -Evidence of Corruption

     -Duchi's Sudden Attack

     -Proof of Divine

     -Part-time Santa

     -Happy New Year Costume

     -Christmas Elf

     -Master Jehoon's Aura

 

   ii. New Set Effects

 

     -Butler Set (until Feb 26)

      Condition: Equipping Butler Costume and Butler's Glasses will give +5 Str/Wis/Int/Agi

 

     -Housemaid Set (until Feb 26)

      Condition: Equipping Housemaid Costume and Housemaid Hat will give +5 Str/Wis/Int/Agi

     

     -Romeo & Juliet (until Feb 26)

      Items: Romeo & Juliet Costume, Romeo & Juliet Hat, Romeo & Juliet Cape

      Condition: Equipping any two of the above items will give +5 Str/Wis/Int/Agi, 30% Drop Rate Increase, +50 Attack and Magic Power, and 12.5% increase in Attack and Magic Power. Equipping all three of above items will give an additional +5 Str/Wis/Int/Agi

 

   iii. Changes

 

     -Hanbok, Kimono, and Oriental Suit Costumes will have a 10% Drop Rate Increase after the current set effects end.

 

 

Events

 

1. Ending Events

 

   A. The Yule Festival event has ended

   B. Holiday Custom Loading Screens will be removed

   C. Master Collection Event has ended

   D. Event Skill Reset Vellums will be removed  Skill Reset Vellums will not be sold after the next maintenance (next Mon or Tues). The Event Skill Resets will then be removed from player's inventories the following week (Feb 5). 

   E. Master Level Events (drop rate and EXP increase) will be ending

  

Improvements

 

   A. Polinium has been added as a reward for several daily quests

   B. Master Battle Manual Order cooldown timer has been removed

   C. On 5th floor of Phantom Pyramid, Karnium has been changed to Blessing Powder

 

Bug Fixes

 

   A. "Keep the Promise of Ship Wreck! (1)" quest issues have been solved. 

   B. Soulmaker's Soul Extortion skill will now work as intended

   C. Pandora weapons having low min/max damage are fixed.

   D. Character falling issue if transported from Pron Fortress to Westen Camp is fixed.

   E. Abnormal Icon images for Sheriff Suit and Showgirl Dress are fixed.

   F. Certain items not having a refinement visual effect are fixed.

   G. Crashing issues will be fixed.

   H. Card Album from Package A not working will be fixed.

   I. Key bindings have been fixed.

Well, for the most part, these notes sound really promising, and I'm looking forward to this patch.. assuming things go as planned and they are an improvement.

 

However, please please PLEASE consider giving us another week with skill resets and stat resets (sold in Kafra, too, please!). Reason being - now, stats are supposed to help atk/matk more, right? Our builds are currently made with the assumption that these stats don't do much and we have no way to tell how much it will affect our damage after patch. Also, now that damage has changed again, it's possible we might want to reconsider the skills we are using and the ways we are leveling.

 

But, I can't wait for these MP changes.. it sounds like a wonderful step in the right direction!

However, please please PLEASE consider giving us another week with skill resets and stat resets (sold in Kafra, too, please!).

That's what I've been waiting for! :D A lot of issues with hit will be resolved once people actually start using ML gear.

I'm actually quite happy about these patch notes, and hoping its truly as good as it sounds. Several fixes and issues being addressed.

 

However, this kinda... erased the smile from my face:

 

 

   D. Event Skill and Stat Reset Vellums will be removed

  

 

You do realize you're, once again, changing formulas, stats, etc. and not giving people the chance to go back to what they had before all these screw-ups happened? People, myself included, have had to reset skills/stats entire builds just to adapt and survive these severely broken patches lately, having to change to things they may not like but had no choice to. We still dont even know if these "new changes/fixes" will truly work (considering past experiences...) or if they're actually working as expected. There's people who used the stat resets based on what past patch notes said, then the next notes totally said otherwise, and people can no longer use said resets.

 

Seriously, with the current state of the game, you should keep said resets (and the Stat one, give more than just ONE, since you now changed how they affect classes) until things are FIXED FOR SURE, and not a "maybe next patch". Please do think of this.

 

Other than that, good job on getting things fixed, but I'll remain cautious until the maint is done and I log to see it myself.

What if we have more than 50k master points atm and then there is patch will our excess master points be removed?

And FFS  If you are going to change the stats AGAIN give people who changed their stats to fit the current system a stat reset.

Shake head when screen shakes... it'll cancel each other out.  Problem solved.  =P

These are really good patch notes.

Hopefully the additional notes coming would be good, or even yet, better.

 

I guess there would be a forever and always SP drainage now. GG.

I'm worried about that too. Should I give my mastery points to gilgamesh before the maintenance begins?

We took out the part of patch notes that stated Event Stat Reset Vellums are leaving. This will be posted again later if it is actually the case. 

 

In regards to Skill Reset Vellums, this item will be re-incorporated whenever there are skill balancing in the patches. 

 

In regards to excess Mastery Points, we will be giving more information closer to maintenance time.

I do not know if I will be on closer to maintanance but I do not wish to spend my mp right now. If i screenshot the amount I currently have then after maint my amount is reduced to 50k will i be compensated for the mp loss?

A couple of questions regarding the patch notes.

 

A.) A hard cap on MP to prevent MP hoarding. What happens to the extra MP of anyone over the cap after the patch?

 

D.) Just below 1k MP for all the Dayr dailies? That's a pretty low amount for that many quests.

 

Nothing mentioned about the rampant crashing in game, which is disappointing though.

What about the movement hot keys being broken? That's a priority bug right? I haven't been able to play at all since that broke...

 

I also don't understand why the Master Letter Event is ending when it was bugged after being extended. Shouldn't it be extended one week when it's actually working?

 

Otherwise the patch looks pretty good. I'm glad some rebalancing on MP is being done, though I agree with others that skill resets should be extended with the current magic/physical balancing going on and since dots are still broken. If they're never going to be fixed then I'd like the chance to reskill and remove them all.

 

But seriously please fix the movement key bindings.

No fixes on attacking after colo round ends or screen shake????
