It is an official command, but it hasn't been enabled for a very long time. (Technically, the command is still enabled, but its message string has been deleted from the client's resources.)
If you want to know the number of currently connected players, then use the server population page on Ragial.

Damn, all Mr. Accurate here.
I know it worked also in official servers cause i used it always on euRO (for almost 4-5 years). But at a certain point it got disabled.
NOW is only still working on private servers as far as i know. So where is the point in saying it's an official command (technically still enabled) but "its message string has been deleted from the client's resources" ?
Peace <3
There is no need to be upset. I wasn't criticising you; I was just stating the facts.
I don't think it's fair to delete the original contents of a post and then ask someone to defend their reply to it; however, I mentioned the fact the command wasn't technically disabled because I thought it could be of interest to other technically-minded people like myself. If you can't be technical in the technical support section, then where can you be?

Didn't want to be rude, i'm sorry.
Was just a bit tired and I didn't even realize it was on the technical section i guess

The servers do not respond to /who requests.
