I'd say HBP would be better because you can get various bonus instead of one specific with FAW's.

 

You can get up to 57 ATK + 15 Hit with FAW's and a nice MDef bonus.

 

With HBP you can get more bonus, 30 ATK, 10% neutral resist, extra ASPD and if you're a crit build you want the 15% additional damage with critical attacks, that is of course if you have 90 base str, agi, vit or luck.

 

If you want to PvM maybe you want the FAW for the extra attack and extra hit for RC but I think crit build is better for MVPing.

HBP is a perfect all-around garment, while FAW is highly specialized, mainly for offense/DPS

 

assuming basic GX build

90+ base str

90+ base vit

90+ base agi

90+ base luk

 

HBP

bonuses =

greed skill

+30 atk

+10% neutral reduction

+1 aspd

+8% aspd

+15% crit damage

 

FAW

bonuses=

+2 luk

+4 to 5% atk = +14 to 20 atk *

*assuming you have 350 to 400 total weapon atk & equipment atk

+4% neutral reduction

+4 to 5% aspd

+4 to 5% crit damage

 

so basically you are trading

+10 to 15 atk

+6% neutral reduction

+1 aspd

+3 to 4% aspd

+10% crit damage

 

for one of the following specialized FAWs

 

speed FAW(special agi, delay 3, delay 3)

+4 agi

+1% atk = +3.5 to 4 atk *

*assuming you have 350 to 400 total weapon atk & equipment atk

+1 aspd

+16% aspd

 

attack FAW(fs6, fs5, fs5)

+57 atk

+15 hit

 

crit FAW(fatal 4, fatal 3, fatal 3)

+26% crit damage

+10 crit

 

so out of those three,

speed FAW is only worth it if it can get you to or close to 193 aspd

attack FAW is not worth the loss in crit damage and neutral reduction and speed

crit FAW might be worth it if your going some super specialized build going full blast on crit damage

 

so for GX, HBP is more useful than FAW usually, especially for pvm. i cant comment on woe though, since i don't woe xD
