OS: Win 7
Antivirus: Bitdefender Antivirus Free

Firewall: Windows Firewall

I have tried everything. From:

  • Disabling my antivirus,
  • Setting exclusions in my firewall
  • Disabling my firewall
  • Repatching
  • Running as admin
  • My UAC is disabled
  • Tried 3 different downloads, one from main site, one from Steam and the other an old client vers 14.1. All go through the same error after patching.

Nothing works. I am at a loss right now and I need help getting it to work.

P.S. The same issue also goes for clragexe.exe and sakexe.exe.

Bitdefender has been an issue for Ragnarok. Just try adding everything (classicro.exe, clragexe.exe, ragnarok.exe, ragexe.exe, and patchup.exe) into your exclusions on your antivirus.

If above solution does not work, please uninstall BitDefender antivirus and try run the game again.

Well what do you know... Uninstalling it works. I thought disabling it would work but I guess not. Is Bitdefender the only one with this issue?

I'm not really sure on others. But I do see a lot of reports about Bitdefender and Ragnarok can't be friends.
