good day,

i have a strange problem with ro,

as soon as i start up the game it runs choppy and in slow motion even in the log in screen,

and it gets even worse when im in game i can barely move and its just unplayable.

my computer should be able to run this game easily

i use windows 7 and updated all my gpu drivers etc and all other games on my computer run fine

i have tried using different setting etc but nothing seems to work.

i hope someone can help me with this problem

Try different option in first menu in Setup. 

 

Also try windowed mode if playing fullscreen.

i already did all that,

i removed and reinstalled the game and its still not working.

Make sure you are running setup as admin, otherwise the game can't see the settings.

 

I'm not sure what to suggest - you say the lag is there immediately, it doesn't start out smooth, but then suddenly become very laggy (this will happen on a laptop with poor cooling - RO puts high load on CPU, and if your laptop's fan is not working, or the heatsink is clogged up with dust, it will overheat. When the CPU overheats, it will lower it's speed in order to generate less heat, and in this state, the RO client absolutely crawls. Many laptops need to be dusted (with one of those canned air type dusters) every 2-3 months to maintain effective cooling).

i found out that the ragnarok classic server is working fine

its the normal one(chaos) where im having these problems.

i already tried to put the settings the same as the classic server but its still not working:/.

but thank you for trying to help me atleast

it kinda sucks my friends are already leveling and i still cant play
