With a pure gfist build, Str and Int are at 120. In terms of equipment, I'm assuming +12 x2AK Carga Mace, I've got two RWC rings which effectively adds up to 60-70 Atk, Fallen Angel Wings with FS16 which I think adds up 57 to Atk, the question is what armor, headgears, boots and cards would be best to go with this?

Hey dude you should get sp enchants on the Fallen Wings.

As for the accessories get the gloves of sura x2

for boots enhanced variants +9 with firelock soldier or sohee

 (carat card) head gear turkey on head +9-12

If you dont have brynhild, Diabolus Robe +3 Int (Porcellio card)

I've got another set of wings with SP19, but how does it affect gfist? All it increases is spell power and reduces variable cast time. Would the attack benefits of the FS be better than the reduced cast time? Is the Turkey on head due to the increased sp?

With the Diabolos Robe the only benefit I see is the +150sp, is there nothing better?

i think he was talking about the SP, not the spell enchant. however, if u go for lower vit, u might get stunned/ killed too fast b4 u can even land a hit on the mvp

you should go with +12 aliot nid instead of the aawings.. Gfist build is all about maxing your sp... for accs i would say vesper core 1 is a good option but well if u want to go with x2 rwc str enchants go ahead. Sura gloves kinda sucks for this build, is not as good as u think

 

armor: if u dont have brynhild well +9-12 diabo robe int+3 with porcellio card

 

boots: sleip or +9-12 enhanced variants [firelock soldier/lady tanee]

 

headgear: +12 turkey hat [carat]

 

thats pretty much all u need

120 STR is ok only if you have one or two Megingjards. Sura Gloves have their nice ATK bonus plus they have that +6% SP bonus too (1% more than Vesper Core 01). Having more SP is always better but take into account that if you already have a high SP pool then increasing ATK will give you a bigger boost than just keep stacking SP equipment and viceversa.

 

The GFist formula is:

ATK * (8 + SP/10) + 1000

 

For example, imagine having 100 ATK and 1920 SP so the formula without the fixed damage is: 100 * 200.

Now add 100 SP, the result should be 100 * 210 = 21000.

Now instead of 100 SP add 10 ATK, 110 * 200 = 22000.

 

All in all, its best to balance both parts to get the maximum damage possible. However having 120 INT is not something I would agree to do. Having a nice DEX stat and some points invested in LUK is always a better idea.

Why is 120 Str and Int a huge mistake? Also is a Phen card necessary? If so what would the choice of accessory be for it?

Because having a lot of STR and INT will reduce your available stats points for things like VIT and DEX which can affect your chances to survive and limit the things you can do (imagine soloing Ifrit and he lands you a nice powered up Pulse Strike while having 1 VIT). Having 120 base STR doesn't sound bad if you have access to a pair of Megingjards but having 120 INT too will make you a glass cannon. Having 60~100 INT would be enough then have a somewhat high DEX, nice VIT, a bit of AGI for snapping and leftover points could go to LUK for additional damage.

 

I have yet to test those Sura Gloves but if you don't have access to Megingjards either then go for 100~110 STR and use one or two Vesper Core 01.

 

A Phen accessory is always required (alternative can be an Orlean's Gown of Wild Cat STR+3) as it makes your GFist casting uninterruptable. For a Phen Card the accessory of choice is the Diabolus Ring (SP+100 and +10% ATK against Satan Morroc).

 

Also, the moment you have the best of the best of the Sura equipment you'll be looking for new SP (both direct and percentage) increasing equipment as the ATK part will be already as high as puppy.

My friend got a Lady Tanee Card recently and we're trying to max out SP from every equip. 

Sura Gauntlets are giving him about ~200SP; I'm thinking this must be better for G-fist damage than megs, am I right?

I'm thinking of a high STR, 120 INT, 95 VIT, 60 DEX build for this

I tested in a calculator of mine and really, Sura Gloves don't get close to Megingjards at all. Mainly because of the STR that increases both STR and STR Bonus part is better than the +6% SP and +30 ATK. Even if base STR is not 120 Megs are still the accessories to get. However the gloves have a slight advantage over the Cores but only if your base STR is 120. Otherwise they are not that overpowered.

 

So Frike is right. Go for one or two Vesper Core 01.

Yeah, it does differ a bit (higher) from what I'm getting. Also it seems the Increase SP Potion option is broken (adds the bonus as direct SP instead of applying it as % increase; +20SP vs +20% at bLVL150),

Throw away Aliot nidd +12......seriously? Do the math on a SP+250 FAW then compare

 

Erde or Golden Mace with good enchants or Carga, GMS for Demi-human

whichever build u r using, meg is superior to sura glove. but..... 150m vs 20bil+????? just get the sura glove and invest ur zeny on a gtb or something

You're much better off trying to get a Tanee with that cash if going for full offensive, GTB if you like tanking =p

Erde and Golden Mace are nowhere as good as a high refined Carga Mace, moreso if you have 120 Base STR (or a total of almost 210 STR with a Megingjard). SP or FS enchanted weapons could be good for a low STR Sura but the Carga Mace would still be better than both of them. The closest weapon to be as good as the Carga Mace is the Veteran Hammer which you can use it even as a Monk!

 

And don't buy a Sura Glove if you don't have 120 STR and zeny to spare. Getting a Vesper Core 01 gives you almost the same effect.

 

tl;dr: Carga Mace all the way for a Sura. Vesper Core 01 instead of Sura Glove if you have less than 120 STR or are low in zeny.

I think the flaw must be the % weapon damage you gent from str. 120 base str 60 % from 175 carga, 110 golden mace

 

105/66 Carga/Golden Mace also bonus str from bless, food, etc

 

I could be wrong... i'm not sure of this.
