I saw that I accidentally posted this in the Class discussion in stead of the Muse forum.
Hello there,
So I thought I'd check out how everything is going here and thought ah! let me gear up some characters and see what I can do.
I find myself being to-ta-lly confused. I checked the Cleric guides and all that, and that teaches me some stuff, however I checked out my IM skills and the IM shop and well... I am not sure if I get everything anymore.
Please see the questions below apart from one another!
If I understand correctly, there are now these types of buffs;
Ally buffs
Your own Cleric Job regular ALLY buffs - 900 seconds
Party buffs
Your own Cleric Job regular PARTY buffs - 900 seconds
IM 'improved' "RITUAL TOMES" - 500pts per skill (6x500=3000pts?)
Cleric PARTY buffs - 900 seconds - 2 buffs in 1
IM 'improved' "ADVANCED" - 250pts per skill (12x250=3000pts?)
Cleric PARTY buffs - 1800 seconds
Is this right? The ritual tomes require you to only press 6 buttons in stead of 12 (wow), where as the other advanced buffs give you double the duration?
Then would that mean that the RITUAL TOMES are more useful for PVP buffing since everyone dies a few times,
and that ADVANCED buffs are more useful for PVM buffing because you have to buff only once per 30 minutes?
---------------
And what's the deal with Soul Revive (Support), Soul Restore and another Soul Recall Tome? Why 2 more IM skills for this? Are they even different?
---------------
Is it also true that I do need all the JOB regular buffs + party buffs to level 5, before I can use the IM buffs that I have at all?
---------------
Say I would leave the JOB party buff skills, and use the SP to improve my Defense, Block Rate, MP recovery, MP consumption and others and also have a Mana Flame, does all that make up for the amount of MP I would need to buff 6 people in a row for example? Since I would have to buff everyone one by one.
I know this is not handy if I am in a party, but I want to be able to take a hit as well.
---------------
Does being full support, having all buffs (allied and party) and all heals (allied and party), eliminate all the chances I would have to also deal some damage?
I see there has been a change in the amount of skills as well, so I can't get most skills to increase my wands range, damage, accuracy or fire speed.
---------------
I don't know what I want to do with this one cleric, I think if I want to do everything the easiest would be to just gear up one full PARTY support cleric, one Hybrid - without party buffs, and one full attack. Maybe even a dex dodge cleric. Even though I have many clerics, I just really enjoy playing one character. And in case of the cleric, be able to buff but also take a hit and being able to deal some damage.
Any help, answer, advice will be much appreciated!
