hello community,  i am having trouble with my mouse, i dont know if its because its a usb mouse or what, but i cant properly scroll in the game, either its all zoomed in or all zoomed out.

is there any way to fix this issue?  once it  zooms it there's no way around it and all scroll bars in the game get stuck.

This has always happened when you plug in the mouse after starting RO. I find it intensely annoying when playing RO on a laptop.

Plug in mouse first. Then start RO.

If RO doesn't see a mouse when it starts, it will handle scroll wheel events incorrectly.

Sorry for slightly necroing this thread, but i have a question as well.

What if you happened to take the usb plug for the mouse out of the port at anytime and you happen to lose the usb plug part for the mouse and you start RO up again and everything is still locking?Like now,you are playing RO without the mouse and only using the touch pad..

No other choice but to buy another mouse, correct?

If you have lost the dongle for a wireless mouse, yeah, you buy a new mouse.

You should still be able to play RO with the touchpad, though. Is it doing something bad, other than being awkward to use because it's a touchpad?

Nah,I'm having the same problem as the OP.

It's just that I can't fix the problem by doing what he did...

Are you getting this problem from the scroll wheel of an external mouse? If so, does it happen with other mice? You must have the mouse connected when RO is started, and you can't disconnect and reconnect mouse while RO is running.

Or are you getting it when using the touchpad? Scrolling shortcuts from touchpad will break RO, and must be disabled or avoided. There is generally a touchpad control panel for this - the specifics depend on the make and model of your laptop (and possibly the version of drivers installed).
