I've never played Ragnarok, i'm still deciding wich class to play.

Unfortunately, even the game being as old as it is, it's impossible to find reliable and trustable information on the internet.

My question is really simple:

-Assassin has the "Enchant Poison" skill

-Assassin X has EDP

-GX has Poisonous Weapon

I noticed that the Assassin poison only applies regular poison, EDP gives a nice damage boost, and Poisonous Weapon poisons are more "support". So basically the Assassin's one is fairly useless...

So, the question: Can I have all of these 3 different poison types at the same time on my weapons? Or do I need to chose between EDP poison or Poisonous Weapon poison?

Are the effects on irowiki correct/updated?

Spoiler

Do some of these poisons not work on PvP/WoE by any means? Because everytime I find a cool class I do some research and they can't use their cool skills on PvP...

I'm specially interested on the level 2 and 9 poisons.

Level 2 poison states that the blindess is incurable on the first paragraph, and then says it can be cured on the second paragraph... Wich one is true?

first yes u can use this skill in pvp. i personally like to use pyrexia too. most uses poison in pvp scenario are oblivion curse and leech end.

as for ur second question, i think what its mean is even if the blind effect where the screen goes black is cured by any mean except  GX antidote, the poison effects still remain

Assassin's Enchant Poison is still useful, even if you're already a GX. It gives a decent damage boost from monsters that are weak to poison*. And it gives you roughly 50% total damage boost when hitting a poison weak mob with a GX skill, Venom Impression at max level.

It also stacks with EDP and still gives you a good chunk of damage boost to those weak to Poison.

Heres a vid with Enchant Poison and Venom Impression against an MVP: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=Jmr-WorvZOc

Also, monsters that are poisoned (poison status effect) receives more damage from any attacks (maybe except Soul Destroyer, not sure) than when they are not poisoned. Not sure how much % of damage is that though.

Lastly, EDP requires a poison bottle, and Poisonous Weapon also requires a specific item, both skills require zenny to use. Enchant Poison requires 0 zenny to use, and you will need it as a prerequisite for a SinX skill, so you will be dumping at least 5 or 6 points into it. Requiring zenny meaning, you need to either buy them from vend since I doubt you will have fun creating those items instead since your build will be most likely not specified for creating them, specially for Poison Bottles.

Monsters that are weak to Poison* element: Earth, Wind, and Fire element monsters. Poison element deals about 25% more damage to those three elements.

The only time Enchant Poison will be "useless" is when you have a gazillion zenny to spend since you will most likely use an Elemental Katar or Elemental Converter for your elemental needs. For a player that is unfunded or just starting out from scratch, Enchant Poison is far from being useless. :ok:

Yes, you can have all three at the same time. Here is the difference, in few words:

Enchant poison: Adds poison ELEMENT to your weapon for some time. Can be overwritten with a converter or some other buff.

Enchant deadly poison: Consumes poison bottle. This is an enormous attack buff. It doesn't change your current element. By the time you are GX past 110, you need to use EDP like rangers use arrows. On the plus side, you will be able to solo all three levels of TI.

New poison research: Each gives you a new poison which you can create a corresponding CATALYST for. The useful ones are pyrexia, leech end, antidote, and oblivion curse. Each also adds 3 seconds to your EDP duration, up from its base of 1 minute.

Poisonous Weapon: This consumes 1 poison CATALYST of your choice. For 5 mins, your REGULAR attacks have a chance of putting the poison's effect on the enemy.

Venom Pressure: You need to have poisonous weapon active to use venom pressure. It's a melee skill with a 95% chance of inflicting poison on the enemy, useful when you need speed. Using it deactivates poisonous weapon. The damage ranges from slightly higher than cross impact to extremely OP 170k+ hits depending on what enemy you're fighting, but how it works exactly hasn't been researched much.

Poison smoke: You need to have poisonous weapon active. It's an AoE ground skill that puts a 5x5 poison cloud on the floor. Enemies who walk in it might be poisoned. You do *not* lose poisonous weapon status for using it, but it isn't spammable. You have to wait till your poison cloud disappears before putting down another. It has about a 3 second cast time.
