Normally, every class should do 50% additional critcal damage base. However, after a bit of testing around on my BC I noticed this:

As you can see, the critical damage (3.8k) isn't near 50% additional damage compared to a non critical attack (3k-ish).

I think it's like this because of the new passive, which adds 25% melee attack power. Somehow the 25% extra damage doesn't get increased when you deal a crit, causing it to look like your crits don't do as much damage as you would expect them to.

So, is this intentional that they don't work on eachother?

Did you have any PvP/PvM equipment on at the time of testing that?

A full brave set and epic wand, giving 30% PVM offense.

Keep in mind that you have bonus damage from the 20% additional damage buff being added to your base damage in addition to bonus damage from the 50% critical damage enhancement.  Test it again without buffs (or with only an Attack Power buff) and without PvP/PvM equipment modifiers to get an estimate of your base damage without crit, and take note of your damage when you do a critical attack - it should be adding around 50%.

My mistake, didn't take into account those.

So if I understand it correctly, additional damage, PVM/PVP offense and critical damage stack additively into one multiplier which works on your base damage?

That's right, damage modifiers are additive, not multiplicative.

In your example you have 3000 damage on a non-critical attack, with 20% additional damage and 30% PvM damage.

Adding 20% + 30% gives a 50% bonus from damage modifiers, which would make your base damage around 1500 (50% of 3000).

Critical damage modifier is 50%, which makes your critical damage 750 (50% of 1500).

Adding 750 to your non-critical damage (3000) gives 3750, which is very close to your damage on a critical attack.

Ah good to know, never really noticed that up till now. In most situations it doesn't really show either, since the difference between additive and multiplicative only starts to show when the number values are getting higher, causing greater disparities. I'll remember this, thanks for the headsup. (Your calculations are slightly wrong btw, but doesn't really matter I guess)
