Hello ROKers!

I have an updated pRO (Philippine Ragnarok Online) installed in my computer and I was wondering if there's a way for me to play iRO without having to download the whole iRO client. Or do I really have to download it from scratch? I am convinced that both pRO & iRO have the same files (but not entirely) because they're, after all, the same game.

Actually, I tried downloading the iRO client earlier but it takes FOREVER to download. I was getting like 3 - 20kB/s AND that's soooo UNUSUAL and not to mention SLOW. It would take me days if I continued. I know it's not an Internet connection or ISP problem because when I downloaded pRO client just earlier today (2.05GB), it was like 170 - 220kB/s! And when I tried downloading movies I was getting the same. Btw, I only download one at a time just to be sure that it's not "multiple downloads" problem. And I don't have bandwidth cap on my Internet connection/download.

Though I was pretty sure it's not my connection, I went ahead and restarted my computer. Turned off the router-modem for a few minutes. And also unplugged/replugged the Ethernet cable that's hardwired from my router-modem to my computer. And when I tried downloading the iRo client, I was still getting the same 3 - 20kB/s, sometimes it would even stop. 

I am really excited to play iRO and I hope you can help me with my problem. Thank you so much!

The majority of the data that comprises the different regional versions of the RO client is identical, but you certainly can't substitute one version of the client for another. If you tried, then the client would either crash or constantly encounter errors.

 

Many people have trouble downloading the IRO client from the official web site. Try downloading it from my Solidfiles mirror instead.

Hi there! Thank you so much for your help. I was able to download all the files from the site mentioned above and I followed the steps indicated there. But I wasn't sure if it's installed correctly. When the Installation Wizard was done, err, installing there were 2 icons which appeared on my screen: Ragnarok Online and the other one was Ragnarok Online Classic.

I tried opening "Ragnarok Online" and then the Ragnarok Setup screen/box appeared. I clicked on OK and the Ragnarok Setup screen closed. And then just right after it closed (like a millisecond), the Ragnarok Setup box would pop up again, but this time there's 2 or 3 of them! No matter what I click, it would just come back. It was sooo annoying. I tried closing them through Task Manager but again they would just pop up again!

I ended up uninstalling Ragnarok Online, and voila! The Ragnarok Setup screens were gone. Did I do something wrong? Or were the files corrupted or something? I badly need help.

Everything's resolved. I read a few posts here and the problem was the UAC. Whew! Thank you so much for your help! Mwaaahhh!
