Hi! this is just to confirm if its just me or there is something with the patching client

my merchant has already logged in was vending (was working before), but i needed to open the patch client to play my main

every-time I go in to patch client, it always says "FAILED TO CONNECT TO PATCH SERVER"

steps that i did:

turned off firewall

then ultimately shut down the vend, shut down computer & RO

rebooted & logged in as a different (admin) account tried as well

as much as the client keeps on failing, my internet is pretty good. I can FB and YT but the patch server keeps failing...

tracert_zps9bfd31c8.png

as you can see i tried tracert on google, and it is working

but if its iro.ragnarokonline.com or playragnarok.com it somehow isnt

but i was vending and just finished Turn-Ins like 8 hours ago (then i slept)

came back to play again, but now couldn't...

Edit:

tracert google.com > working

tracert playragnarok.com > not working

tracert iro.ragnarokonline.com > not working

tracert warpportal.com > working

That is strange...try these commands in command prompt

netsh interface ip delete arpcache (clears Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) cache)

ipconfig /flushdns (flushes DNS cache)

Then do tracert playragnarok.com again

EDIT: Also see if you can access this site

ftp://patch1.playragnarok.com/

The cause of your problem is Gravity's DNS servers failing to respond to your queries due to the servers being faulty.

Try repeatedly entering "nslookup patch1.playragnarok.com" in Command Prompt until the query succeeds. You'll then be able to update your client.

By the way, in Command Prompt, you can repeat the previously entered command by pressing up and then enter.

How many times did you try entering the nslookup command? I'd try it at least 25 times. If that is a dead end, then try restarting your router. As a last resort, you could add the address of the server to your hosts file.

Ok will try 25 more times and will reply with an update

Update

nslookup patch1.playragnarok.com - Done at least 30+ times not working

nslookup warpportal.com - working (as well as google)

- restarting router

- if restarting router don't resolve this i'll try your last resort

Tried the adding lines to the host file

As a last resort, you could add the address of the server to your hosts file.

HORY_c6ee0a_2149193.jpg

it worked!

i think that was the ultimate solution! XD

Thanks Axylus! ill have to comment you on your profile!!
