reading a table is hard especially if table doesn't have what you're pointing at.

That's nice except he posted the exact same formula that's given in the table and the following lines.

 

 

well we're clearly at an impasse then, because both of us think we're right. Just hold of on attacking each other until the servers can come up and we can get to the bottom of this using proof.

That table had one value. I dont see how you derived a formula when the other values were cast time, # of hits etc...

Equations are the same. If it applies to DD, it should apply to PW and EG as well.

 

But if you don't believe me, i'll be more than happy to prove you wrong again.

First of all the equations are different.Check irowiki.

 

Second we both agreed on the same formula that Toxn posted so i don't see how you'll prove me wrong.

I merely stated that your interpretation of the formula was wrong.

 

Would some neutral third person come here and clear it up?

Damage on the first is :  [3.50+129*0.03]*116/100*223 = 1906 - 2.62%mdef = 1856

Second : [3.5+129*0.03]*116/100*247 = 2111 - 2.62%mdef = 2056

Third : [3.5+143*0.03]*116/100*251 = 2268 - 2.62%mdef = 2208

rather, i think what im trying to say is, MATK stacks additively, while int is a multiplier

 

meaning MATK, is just a number tacked on at the end of the damage calculation

On a side note, quoting irowiki in general doesn't prove your point 100%. Irowiki articles are maintained by regular players like you and me and the average joe. The balance formulas I have found to be 100% accurate though.

Jesus Christ...

  1. Set 'Base Damage' formula: 350% at Lv5
  2. Add your INT onto the formula: supposing your INT is 130 this number becomes 390% (INT * 3)
    1. Stack both numbers additively: (350 + 390)%  = 740%
  3. Increase the same number by your Base Level: yours seems to be Lv116, so the formula increases by 16%
    1. Stack both numbers multiplicatively: (740 * 1.16)% = 858% (rounded down)
  4. Apply the modifier onto your current MATK, for example: 223 (unarmed) * 8.58 = 1913 (rounded down)
  5. Then apply the reduction by MDEF.

 

Do it again with this procedure.

well if u want to max damage, lose the agi.and get all.luck. luck gives more matk than dex and agi isnt good for a sorc anyways.

You forgot Matk+1% from both items and Orc warriors have 14 SoftMdef.
So it should be..
first : <<350+(129*3))*116/100>*223 / 100 > = 1904 ; 1904 * 0.9738 = 1854 ; 1854 - 14 = 1840

second : <<350+(143*3))*116/100>*<251*1.01> / 100 > = 2284 ; 2284 * 0.9738 = 2224 ; 2224 - 14 = 2210

third : <<350+(129*3))*116/100>*<247*1.01> / 100 > = 2126 ; 2126 * 0.9738 = 2070 ; 2070 - 14 = 2056

Having 1 agi on a sorc would be so detrimental...

 

I am debating on this myself.

 

How should I allocate agi, dex and luk? I know dex and luk both help matk a little bit.

 

For vit, I know as long as I get 100 (job 50 bonus included) I will be fine with stun immunity.
