Hello Community,

 

I'm glad to tell you that finally my fixed installer is no longer needed, since the fix is now implemented into the official download :)

That means no more "Users is not a valid group or user" problem for anyone! This is really great news in my opinion since there is no need to have a fixed installer download seperately.

 

You can find the official download here: www.playdragonsaga.com

 

How to download:

Hover your mouse cursor over "Download" in the menu bar.

Then click on "Game Download" in the menu.

 

On the website click then on the big "Download Dragon Saga Button", enter the e-mail address and password you use for your WarpPortal account, download the installer and run it.  The rest is done automatically.

 

Important: If you use one of the mirrors on the official page, you will get a very old installer. Then this problem will persist. If you need a mirror for a non-english windows system, feel free to use one of the mirrors I posted below.

 

 

Even though I do not maintain the fixed installer any longer I'm still here to help if you have any questions about installation problems. Also I will continue to maintain the mirrors.

finally I made it and created a complete installer to install DragonSaga Client on non-english systems without errors.
It has been created by me mainly to fix this "Users is not a valid group or user" problem, but it seems that it can fix some other problems, too.
Just download the installer here:
 

This download is no longer relevant.

 
start it and it will download the required files, after that it starts the installation and it will install without any errors.

 

Mirror

The old problem is still available. The original download does not work from some locations and leads into interrupts or corrupted media.cab files. For those of you who have this problem, I uploaded the installer to another mirror.

 

If you can, you should prefer the installer from the link above over the mirror, because the download speed of the mirror is limited.
So if you have no problems with the original installer, you shouldn't use the mirror.

Download every file into the same folder. If you've downloaded all files, run the DragonSaga-Installer-0.0.3.0-20140625.msi and you can install the game as usual.

Thank ALL OF YOU for the confidence you've placed in me and my work.
And that you trust me, that there is NO virus and NO malware. 
Instead you got the original DragonSaga Client Installer with a little tweak that makes it 
possible to install it on non-english system.
The Fix was downloaded 130 times so far without any problems or any complaints.

And I have to thank ShazamO, for the trust in my work, the pinning and the possibility to make DragonSaga available for ALL OF YOU.
So it IS possible to save DragonSaga for us.

Let me have a look into it.

 

In the meanwhile:

This problem is not a problem with my installer but with the patcher of DragonSaga.

 

Please provide me with some informations, especially from which country you are.

That could be very important for me, because I already have a theory where your problem could come from.

 

With a little patience I'm sure we can solve your problem.

 

 

Edit:

 

I just tried installing DragonSaga by using my installer and it worked for me without any problems.

Now we have to investigate what your problem is.

 

I need the following information from you, to find a solution:

 

- The country you are from?

- Your windows version is?
