So I got on and everything patched like normal after today's update, but 10 minutes into TI I die and the server said I was disconnected as I try to get to my save point.

 

When I relog into the game it says I failed to connect the moment I choose my character and now after closing the game and rebooting the patch wont even connect.

Most likely it's the DNS issue - I don't have time to go into detail, but this trick should do it:

 

Open IE (must be IE!), go to ftp://ropatch2.gravityus.com/

It won't load. Press F5 to reload, until it loads. 

 

Then exit IE and start RO and it will patch. 

 

 

However, the simultaneous disconnection from RO raises the specter of some other network issue.

After getting home from work, having something similar.  Launcher starts, attempts to connect, fails, and then allows me to play anyway.  IE properly loads the FTP, without any hiccups.  Attempted to flush DNS, reset router, problem persists.  Friends in other parts of the country, and other countries, manifesting the same issue.

 

 

Edit:  And as a write that, it abruptly begins working after 20 minutes of the above.  I don't even know.

Resetting router won't do anything. It's the modem.

I generally do both at the same time.
