In memory of the great Qilin, we wanted to refresh everyone regarding the scam/hack policy along with the tips and tricks to keep YOU safe! 

 

As Qilin stated... "Granted, most everyone on these forums is pretty savy about this kind of stuff, but I hope this guide proves helpful to some!" You can click here to find basic information regarding scamming in it's many forms.

not shure i know who Qilin is but i guess thos that know who it is will miss Qilin so lets hope this will prevent hacks and scams whit this topic up

He wasn't a quest write... He was the God of Quest Creation. and his Avatar was from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and it had pink hair :I that avatar was there for EVER lol.

sorry than, its just a friend of my died almost a year ago, so i made a wrong connection when i read 'used to be',

 

btw i think those tips are awesome, i shared them cos i see a lot of scammers lately.

Why not incorporate these types of things into an event Shaz? For example you do the Mini events on Saturdays. How about designing one of those mini events to be a "security + safety" questionaire. And then make sure you announce the winner + the answer. It'll increase public awareness and desire to know the rules + how to be safe with their information.

just came across this update note....

Did you ever hear about the term "Drive by-Attack"? These attacks can be performed through any browser, relying on 3ed party plugins like JavaScript, Flash (and most other scripts in general).

Due to that i'm wondering why there is only a warning targeted on IE users.

Furthermore i'm wondering why there is a warning in general, since your websites pretty much rely on these plugins.

Probably the best and most efficient way to protect against attacks like these is to use plugins like "no-script", however, noscript users don't have the slightest support on your sites either.
