Yes
"What time in PST (clock is on the website) did this happen"
11:09 am PST lag spike caused both of my accounts to d/c due to timing gap between the client and server.

Testing it again... lags or packet loss started killing in at 1pm PST. Forums is fine, so most likely packet loss is the cause of the horrible game lag.

Yes/No (yes)

Again, only the time I bothered to log in. Down 15% now. Idk how this is helping but I'll keep posting if it is, though redundant as it seems. Forums and everything warp portal related function fine.

And yes this is helping, many data points tested across the whole network allows us a finer look at what could be causing the problems. The ISP issues I'm sure are adding their own bit of problems as well, but getting our end fixed is our priority and our ISP getting their stuff fixed is their priority.

@Heim: It would have been nice to see the death penalty forgiveness added to the Valkyrie server; I assumed the current lag issue was the idea behind the event. Three percent is a lot of lost time at higher levels for something outside of player control such as server lag leading to disconnects. I don't envy your networking issues though, good luck with the repairs/replacements. Could you also clarify if we should post our info here for repeated lag issues? Thank you in advance.

(EDIT: or 11:06~11:09 am PST. Not sure because of daylight time change)
Continued lag for around 3 minutes. Characters would move a step every 10 to 20 seconds, then hang again. My accound finally disconnected, my friend's one who had the same kind of lag didn't.
Edit:
07:15-07:35 am PST 11/07/2010
Juperos Dungeon Level 1
pings 50 ms higher than usual, 3-5% package loss, but game so laggy that we stopped playing

- "Is the location you are forum posting from, the same location as you experienced game play lag from?" YES
- "What time in PST (clock is on the website) did this happen" I've been experiencing this lag since the Thursday maintanance. Worse today since 2:30 pm Until now (4:30 pm)
Game is almost totally unplayable at this point. Do we have an IP we can use for our tracerts to get the ping from the game servers?

- "What time in PST (clock is on the website) did this happen" Last 3 days constant, same IPs causing the lag and disconnections.
I'm not sure what to do about it as although it's iRO's ISP provider it's not iRO's server itself causing the lag... Leaves me in a bit of a limbo as it doesn't seem to be getting better and it's become very hard to play. Is there anyway of resolving it myself like tracking down the problem node and getting the company information to contact them have them fix it?

Yeah, Gravity's server team really needs to put their foot down with their ISP and start making some heavier demands on fixing the problem. Each day it goes on it gets worse and worse. I'd rather see a day of downtime with the lag resolving afterwards than to keep this crap up.

The biggest issue if can't resolve it is I may end up getting banned for KSing because for example at the moment hunting Magma popos and I click on one even though noone on screen it lags 3-5 seconds and by time my character reaches it someone else has walked on and started attacking it, I quickly after what looks like warping across screen due to time lapse click on another part of map a dozen times so I don't end up KSing anyone but it's had some close calls and making my life a misery. Then theres the fact it will stop during an attack on something and 3 seconds later a barrage of hits on the monster and myself I sometimes come back deseased by time lap spike ends. On some occassions after the spike I don't come back at all as in get disconnected.
But like i said I can't really have a go at GMs themselves as it doesn't appear to be their server as the cuase of it, it's the ISP NTT (IPs) that seem to be where they start half way through the tracert and always at same places. So I would like to know if theres anything I can do myself to resolve it. Other than running tracerts and seeing theres a problem I don't know what to do after that.
According to NTT site:
- The NTT Com Global IP Network is free of Network Outages 100% of the time.
- Latency will not exceed 50 milliseconds for the North American Network, 90 milliseconds for the Trans-Atlantic Network and 130 milliseconds or less for the Trans-Pacific Network.
- Packet Loss will not exceed 0.1%.
- Average jitter will not exceed 250 microseconds and will not exceed 10 milliseconds more than 0.1% of the time.
