ive never used a TI (gramps or even the old goats style turn ins) or even eden group to ever level... was it slow? not too terribly (woulda been faster if i wasnt slacking around in Amatsu half the time)... did i learn alot... yes very much so... did i earn zeny? yup a couple billion just from level 138 to 145... and i did it solo... sure soloing wont work for FS ABs but thats why they would make a party... the in game community has become quite disconnected... TI is the only place people bother to level... and they all feel the need to race to the endgame content when really whats the point when we arnt getting anything worth doing? gonna go try and camp over-camped MVPs? good luck.... gonna log in twice a week for woe? what about the other 5 days? gonna go into PVP and have a tea party with the trolls? gets pretty old pretty quick... so then what? ET? once a week... the only options left are to make yet another character, AFK, or quit.... not a very bright endgame...
You can say the same thing for leveling as well. Facekiller, you, yourself has been playing for how many years? You for one should know of or have used any and all farms of leveling in the game by now, whether it be TIs, Mvping, Medaling, Quests, etc. At the same time, you shouldn't despise TIs as much as you do right now, especially if you haven't been in TI parties to see how bad players really play.
I'd rather do any of those things that you mentioned in your post rather than level. If one of your main points is for new players to get out and explore outside maps more and learn how to play their class, they would be more inclined to level knowing that there are far more interesting things to do for them that they haven't experienced yet, after being maxed. I'm not saying that for people who have been playing this game for as long as you. Knowing the current situations in iRO atm, players like you and me should have quit by now. But now I mostly play for WoE and you play for whatever it is you do now, whether it is to help players learn how to do things or just to converse with them. Seems we are still clinging on to that last string of hope.
In any case, Mvping can be done in other ways than just simply camping it against other mvpers, whether it be vip summoner, BBs, ET,etc.A lot of mvps aren't as camped as you think, especially at certain times of the day. WoE would be way better if Warpportal just upgraded their servers, but as for logging in twice a week, there are lots of other things you can do in between that time, most if not all of them involving real life.Pvp is fun if you have legit players who don't cheat or bwing out of pvp to avoid getting killed all the time or -_- talk just because they got a lucky kill off you. Well, I love the -_- talking, but I could care less about people buffing outside and having mvps, gods, parties or whatever. All you have to do is match them up on their competitiveness and make them suffer. ETing is moot to me as well. That could be improved on in a lot of ways. In any case, most of those activities are better than simply leveling, especially after you have mained so many different classes.
