No one's complaining. Oda, & Camp, asked for the communities opinion. That's why people are giving them.

This has nothing to do with selling stuff & there is no monopoly on items. A brand new person can level to 70, without having to spend anything, as long as they do the Eden Quest for gear & TI's.

You need to read better that wasn't about the jump event it was about the spotlight suggestion that Oda asked us for. Try to keep up when you respond

There are two conversations going on in this thread one about the jump event and one about Oda Asking about what the next spotlight should be.

Read the OP. Why do you think people are talking about a Jump Start, to level 70, in the firsr place...lol

Currently we are working on a recruiting event to kick off the summer. For this limited time Jump Event, players who reach first job would be able to speak to a NPC that would Jump them up to level 70 and give them the Eden Equipment gears (including both weapons). This is to encourage existing players to try out classes they haven't played before, and to get new players trying out some of the mid-high level content in the game.

Campitor:

It is an event we are considering and we love that were getting feedback. At level 70 and second job is where the game really opens up and players can experience the varies abilities of their jobs/classes for better or worse. A lot of newer players stop playing before they reach this point and we would like them to be able to experience the middle game where it can be rather fun; unlike some of the early grind where you have no abilities.

What would everyone's thoughts be if we as an added bonus; kind of nudged players away from just doing gramps turn ins by providing a list of level 70 appropriate dungeons (Overlook Water Dungeon? Mjolnir Deadmine? The Morroc Dungeons?) for players to go to. As well as some more serious rewards for adventuring/killing in these areas?

Yes Read the OP

One more week of the New World Spotlight, which ends on the 21st -what do you want to see as our next spotlight?

Oda Asked for suggestions hence why people are still talking about that.  two conversations try to keep up. one about the suggestion which was the conversation I was originally responding to. and one about the idea of a jump event which had nothing to do with what I was saying.

I Repeat there are two conversations going on in this thread. Try and keep up.

My Point was make sure what you're quoting has something to do with the conversation you are in and not the other.

^ Exactly! You are only going off of one thing on the OP. There are two conversations going because of what is in the OP. Read your own post above that I replied to ;)

@seaechiowai

Um first off all, leveling as an Axe Mechanic is not hard at all. Nowhere did I ever say it was hard, in fact I think it's easy. Second, I respecced to a Mado build months ago, and honestly, I'm still gaining experience at the same rate as I used to, it's just mobs go down with 1 hit. It's even easier, but the fact monsters give junk experience doesn't change, and I'm not gonna go spend money on VIP or blow my hard earned zenny on x3BM's.

The problem is high level monsters in this game don't give enough experience compared to the lower mid level monsters. They give extremely little experience given how much experience is required to level. The amount of experienced required to level continues to skyrocket, while the amount monsters give does not go up very much.

First of I've heard of the Morroc Challenge Dungeon though. is that a new thing? I am not going back to Nogg Road though, I grinded to 110 on at that place, and it gives way too little at this point to be worthwhile. Desert Wolves give trash experience. There's really very few places I can level at until level 120-130.

I just want to PvP/WoE, but that's impossible until max level.

With right gears and vip, 3xbm, and spotlight like new world, you can basically pop in 1->150 in 3-4 days.

Even without, someone posted speedrun of him using 2 3xbm and vip to 1->99 in an hour. If you've been stuck at 110 for years, you're clearly doing something wrong by a lot.

I've been stuck at 110 for for months because frankly... the leveling in this game past level 99 is so slow, I don't want to play anymore. I'm not gonna do Gramps all the way to 150 because getting a party together takes forever. Then leveling solo is not any fun because it feels like you make no progress with how little experience monsters within your level range get.

I used to enjoy Ragnarok Online, but frankly, this game has alot of problems, and none of those problems have been fixed. When I heard there was gonna be a "Jump Event" I thought I might try playing again for fun and try a new class, but everybody here bitched about it, so it looks like it's not even happening.

So I'm not even gonna bother.

Solo gramps TI if you are geared well enough.

Get good at investing / dealing with money and soon you can easily buy BMs and buy WPE from trustworthy people to get VIP "for free".

Jump event shouldn't make a difference since grinding from 1 to 70 is super fast and easy for anyone who knows how the game works.

Isn't buying WPE from players illegal?

No it is completely legal. But the GMs can't track down scams or anything for this so you have to make sure to buy it from a friend or someone trustworthy.

Morroc Pyramid challenge dungeon is new-ish. It was introduced last year, but it was broken until recent fix patch. Now it's a fine daily that gives good exp. 250k reward x 4, only 30 kills each. They take two shots of arm cannons each at the most. It's a great place for under 120s.

You mentioned that it's easy, and you're using the manuals too? Then why the hell can't you do it? I'm not a VIP, my gears aren't that great. I thought it was easy as hell. Packed a couple hundreds of fly wings and I was running 5% exp/hr in those zones. It's not only easy exp, but those zones actually give you money loots. The only thing I can assume is that you're maybe trying to solo everything and that makes it boring as hell. Well, it's your call to drop out, just don't blame the game for it. Because then that doesn't explain the people who were able to do get to the max in the first place.

I just want to PvP/WoE, but that's impossible until max level.

PvP on a Mech?

Unless all you want to do is SD all over the place or support other PvPers, you're going to have a VERY bad time.

The damage mods on Mech skills are way too low, and nothing we have is spammable (except HSCR). When against GR users, you won't be doing any more than 4-5k damage per HSCR anyway, unless you're 100% built around that skill, in which case you'll probably drop in one hit should they care to fight back. Boomerang is fairly damaging for what it is, but the reuse delay is so excessive that you'll only get to use it once, maybe twice if the opponent is a terribad/undergeared player. Swing is laughably weak for a point blank melee skill. Tornado is just a waste of SP.

Should you want to PvP as a Mado... have fun with 1k damage KBs and 4k ACs on full reduct gear or 10k ACs but no reducts = instakilled by pretty much anything so who cares :v

Mechs are support. They're not primary killers. Get used to NBing, spamming Freeze and occasionally casting SF on your precast, since aside from SD that's all you'll ever be doing.

Forgot to mention, but dps means absolutely nothing in PvP; it's all about burst. Mechs aren't bursty.
