Would the skill use my current level of Kyrie Eleison?
According to Doddler's site, http://ro.doddlercon...ishop#Praefatio
max Praefatio gives 16hits blocked, does it function like Kyrie Eleison- it will block certain amount of damage
and the overflow would go to the character?

It functions exactly as Kyrie Eleison would. According to the Compilation on iRO Wiki, Praefatio, in terms of maxHP blocked, is dependent on your KE skill level. But in terms of max number of hits blocked, it's purely based on Praefatio skill level. As with KE, it's x% maxHP or x hits, whichever comes first. And just as with KE, any extra damage that breaks your KE will go to your character.

I definitely suggest picking this skill up. Level 1 has no 3rd job skill pre-reqs and already can block like 8 hits.
