As mentioned in this old thread I was working on a jeep cart mod. http://forums.roseon...osts=20&start=1

Well due to a move and a long distance commute to work I didn't have time to mess with projects... blah blah blah... Finally landed a job that doesn't require a long commute so I am able to pick up and finish old projects.



It's far from done. But the model is coming along nicely. Proportionally it looks a little odd cause I am in the middle of morphing a old realistic jeep model to look like a mini car/cart like what is in rose already.

The original model was a free download off turbosquid that I had to start from scratch on the 3d parts as the model wasn't suited to actual use in a game with low polycount constraints. The basic shape gave me a rudimentary form to follow and the textures gave me a good guide for UV creation. Once I have the body rose-ified (hehe sounds funny) I will start on the textures.

I'll be aiming at the Medic variant which isn't listed in any picture but just has a red cross in a white circle on the hood, beyond that I am gonna change the red cross just enough that it doesn't infringe on that trademarked icon owned by Johnson&Johnson so if it's liked it could be used ingame. I may put some of the junk strapped to the outside like the shovel on it depending on final polycount which I think needs to be between 500 and 1000.

I like this idea! It's been suggested by many other people in the past, but unfortunately nothing has been done to add this to the game
or there has been no sign that they will create another whole new style of a vehicle.

I know it may look like it at the moment but the style wont be new as such. It should be the same setup as the meiser proportionally and setupwise as to vehicle parts and the filestructure so when I am finished if people like it all that would need to be done is let the devs give the source files the once over to make sure it's up to their standards, tweak as needed, setup shaders how they wish, insert it into the data files in an update, and add it to the database. If you understand what I just said you get a cookie.

I have to say the jeep idea is great now throw a gatling gun in the back with high Attack Speed and limited AP where you can blow away noobs in PvP areas. Make it craftable, account bound & usable ONLY for Artisans. Combining this with the grenade items and you have the new version of Call of Duty Rose style

I like the bump on this idea Seurorelay and to mtbpman (if your still around), Nice job on Army jeep. Pretty cool
