Sword Champ Nerfted too much? Patch Notes v502(503)

Hi Guys,

I just want to say what's on my mind regarding the latest patch.

I believe that reason why sword champ got 100%(now only 80%) chance of silence is because this class doesn't have any other disable at all. And since this skill is so imbalance the other skills (sword force,geon arch) casting speed is very long. So long that I can peel a potato and cook it before it hits the target(exageration, please don't get angry :blaugh: ). And to add to my frustration, other job classes can easily time their stun to interrupt it.

 

In addition to this, the attack speed buff of cleric is also nerfted which makes normal attack pretty much useless on pvp.

 

I don't really hate the latest changes on sword champ because I do agree soulwreck is way too imbalance. I don't even mind if they make it to 50% chance of silence. But "PLEASE" do something about the casting animation speed of the other skills(sword force and geon arch).

 

Also, what's up with the unique geon arch strike debuff? I mean I can't see anything special about this skill. Note that I'm wearing lava 50/40 and glorious set but I still can't hit raiders even if i cast this skill to them. And also, when raider cast their accuracy down debuff to you, then you're going to hit air more often. Is it possible to make it a stun with lower percent chance of success?

We need to know what circumstances you are under thought, like are you under some OP dual raider debuff (crippling storm) that will make your accuracy so bad? And we need to know if you have CHA with your stat build, that determines the debuff magnitude a lot.

And BTW, sword champ only get a mute nerf from 100% to 80%, and berserk nerf applies to everyone. But the major nerf comes from cleric buffs.

Sword champ is designed to be excel at both AOE damage and 1 vs 1, but they are not the best on both individually, axe champ is better for 1 vs 1, spear is better for AOE damage (even though sword is still better than spear in terms of AOE damage due to defense pierce and skill power % passive)

Swords still have it better then spears, they can't stun, sleep or silence. Majority of their DPS is from melee, which has reduced from cleric buffs, more then swords. And to top it off, they can't supplement that lost DPS with skill casting cause they only have 1 useful attack, 2 somewhat useful, if you get aspd downed, and 1 completely useless skill. so in the end, just the 1. 

However all 3 types get a reduction in chance to incoming CC. So they may not have the ability to inflict a stun, but they're also more likely to nullify that other chars stun. For example, the raider stun, it doesn't even cause damage. And, if it is nullified, they just wasted 1-2 seconds of time they could have been causing damage for absolutely nothing. Try to remember a stick has two ends. Just like a coin has 2 sides.

Yes. But still you can kill all characters, if you're clever.
