Greetings, the 10% sorcerers we have left in the game. So I have ideas of making sorcerers better in DPS and especially as a support class. These ideas may seem outrageous and a little weird but I'll explain as I go along.

DPS
Cold Bolt

Rank up to 10

The damage will increase by rank by the same ratio it has.

At Rank 6, Cold Bolt has a "chance" to give the Sorcerer the buff Song of Water: Winter's Freeze.

Each rank increases the chance of casting the buff.

Rank 6: 3%

Rank 7: 6%

Rank 8: 9%

Rank 9: 12%

Rank 10: 15%


Song of Water: Winter's Freeze

A new buff that activates upon casting Cold Bolts.

Effect: When activated, for 7 seconds, all targets are treated as frozen targets, making all Thunder/Blitz damages multiply by 2. It will not consume any Wind Emblem: Raging Storm procs.


Lightning Bolt

Reduce back to Rank 5

Slightly Increase initial damage.

Lightning Bolt has a 100% chance of causing its DoT, Electroshock.

Electroshock DoT, damage increases with rank.

Rank 1: 12%

Rank 2: 14%

Rank 3: 16%

Rank 4: 18%

Rank 5: 20%

DoT damage can compound up to 3, but will not increase the damage of the DoT.

Each compound will give a bonus of 10% damage to Jupiter Thunder or Varetyr Spear.

The DoT will last 20 second, and refreshes upon each compound.


The idea of Song of Water: Winter's Freeze, is to give sorcerers a "berserk" mode. This requires Sorcerers to invest 10 points into Cold Bolt, giving the class a gap between a full DPS and full support.

Lightning Bolt damage is very weak and it consumes Raging Storm procs. This is why sorcerers don't take the Lightning Bolt path. With the new buff (Song of Water: Winter's Freeze), a sorcerers can choose to dish out 7 Lightning Bolts or 3 Jupiter Thunder, or a mix of both during the 7 second duration.

Lightning Bolt is modified because the DoT damage is too weak and the chances of it inflicting on the target was slim to nothing. The compound idea is to allow full DPS sorcerers to implement Lightning Bolt into their rotation because it will boost the power of Jupiter Thunder and Varetyr Spear.

Support

Healing Wave

Upon activating Water Emblem, Healing Wave will also heal SP. It will still continue to heal HP as well.

Rank 1: With Water Emblem, heals SP for 90% of the caster's Wisdom(Wis) and HP healing just like before.

Rank 2: With Water Emblem, heals SP for 100% of the caster's Wisdom(Wis) and HP healing just like before.

Rank 3: With Water Emblem, heals SP for 110% of the caster's Wisdom(Wis) and HP healing just like before.

Rank 4: With Water Emblem, heals SP for 120% of the caster's Wisdom(Wis) and HP healing just like before.

Rank 5: With Water Emblem, heals SP for 130% of the caster's Wisdom(Wis) and HP healing just like before.


Deluge

When Water Emblem is present, deluge will heal both HP and SP over time to non-enemies.

Rank 1: Water Emblem active, heals SP for 200% of the caster's wisdom for 12s along with HP healing as before.

Rank 2: Water Emblem active, heals SP for 215% of the caster's wisdom for 12s along with HP healing as before.

Rank 3: Water Emblem active, heals SP for 230% of the caster's wisdom for 12s along with HP healing as before.

Rank 4: Water Emblem active, heals SP for 245% of the caster's wisdom for 12s along with HP healing as before.

Rank 5: Water Emblem active, heals SP for 260% of the caster's wisdom for 12s along with HP healing as before.


When Earth Emblem is present, deluge will apply a HP boost for 12 seconds.

Rank 1: All party members/raid members HP is boosted by 4% for 12 seconds.

Rank 2: All party members/raid members HP is boosted by 8% for 12 seconds.

Rank 3: All party members/raid members HP is boosted by 12% for 12 seconds.

Rank 4: All party members/raid members HP is boosted by 16% for 12 seconds.

Rank 5: All party members/raid members HP is boosted by 20% for 12 seconds.


Earth Emblem will double the healing power when active, just like it is now. If a sorcerer chooses to change to Water Emblem to heal SP, then they will not receive the double healing boost from Earth Emblem. Under Earth Emblem, Healing Wave and Deluge will not provide SP healing.

My reason for implementing SP healing is because a selective few classes suffer from SP depletion. This will also give sorcerers a reason to be part of a party or raid.

Right now...

Sorcerers' DPS can easily be replaced by any DPS class.

Sorcerers' healing can easily be replaced by a Priest or Soul Maker.



*In order for my idea to work and give Sorcerers a chance to be more useful, every class(except Wizard, Sorcerers, Priest, and Soul Makers) will have their skills' SP cost increased slightly.*

I also like to make the Wisdom stat useful.

A few idea for Wisdom & SP for ALL CLASSES

Wisdom gives a stat that increase penetration on a target.

So the more wisdom you have, the higher the chance of you dealing extra damage. Kind of like a secondary critical damage.


SP will give a bonus damage based on the amount you currently have. (I'll explain)

Player with 100% SP, grants a 10% damage boost & Damage is reduced by 5%

Player with 75~99.9% SP, grants a 5% damage boost, no defense bonus.

Player with 50~74.99%, will receive no bonuses.

Player with 0%~49.9%, damage is decreased by 5%.

For example,

Let's say my character has 7000/7150 of his SP. He will have a 5% damage boost on all of his attacks.

If my character has 3000/7150 SP, his damage will be decreased by 5%.


*I know wisdom is based on intellectual, but when I think of SP I think of energy and fatigue. Basically a fresh person(full SP) will be ready for battle, having a defense bonus and a damage bonus. While someone who fought for a long period of time will feel tired.The defense bonus can also help prevent "One Hit KO" on a fresh player.*


This idea links back to giving sorcerers a purpose to be in a party or raid. Sorcerers channels energy to members allowing them to feel less fatigue.


I like to hear feedback on these ideas. I'll answer any questions and make adjustments too if anyone can think of any changes to my ideas, but it has to be reasonable.
