So I tried to edit new UI. But, I have a problem with new UI.VDK file I get. Whenever I run the game with new vdk file, I get stuck on login screen (I don't get any option to enter login and pass).

I tried to just unpack and repack again the original UI.VDK and get the same problem.

I tried to run the game with UI.VDK from this topic: http://forums.warppo...guardian-meter/ and get the same problem. Any advice how to fix it?

P.S: Had the same problem before DWF patch, but fixed it somehow (don't remember how, though).

Well first off, you should edit the UI.VDK yourself instead of using another person's edit because you don't know what they messed around with. 

That person probably messed with the textures and script which is messing up your login screen. 

 

Remember that although editing textures is allowed, it is NOT supported if it messes up, so you're pretty much on your own. 

Remember to back up all your files.

Sorry, I didn't explain well what happened. I tried 3 different ways and get the same problem on any of them:

1) I unpacked original UI.vdk and edited some stuff, repacked again -> can't see anything on login screen

2) Unpacked original UI.vdk and just repacked it -> nothing on login screen.

3) Thought I had some problem, so just downloaded already edited UI.vdk that is running without any problem for the original editor (he/she has a screenshot from game with edited UI) -> nothing on login screen for me.

What are you editing exactly? Also you should repack at 1.1

Editing "Rag2_Hud_001.tga" file. Repacking with VDISK 1.1

 

 

UPD: Problem solved: removed "read only" from the UI folder before repacking.

Well I'm hoping they fix most of the lag with the upcoming patches.  If you edit the UI, you'd have to update it with each maintenance or patch.

Make sure when you're packing it, you're packing at VDISK1.1 and you're packing it from the first UI folder.

Ask your friend to send his original vdk and should be fix your problem. Or uninstal ro2 and also delete the folder.. re install all and u will get new vdk. Should be fix your problem also
