whats the max dmg u can get with decent gear as a low lvl mech?

Im at 102 with 

97+11 strength and 57+4 vit

using a +4 Berdyz

No vip and new to server so i cant really afford the good good gear yet

whats the max dmg u seen axe tornado do

I cant afford to go mado build plus i kinda dont like it so im trying to make axe tornado as effective as i can....I cant seem to solo many dungeons around my lvl like magma dung for example without me blowing through pots at a alarming rate.....any cards/weapon/gear advice would be greatly appreciated to make this a bit easier

Generally speaking, mechanic (and most classes, frankly) need to spam hp regen items to solo level appropriate maps. 

 

Your weapon is one of your problems - berdysz (as far as I can tell, "berdysz" as the game calls it is a grotesque misspelling of Bardiche https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bardiche ) is disappointing. With a +9 hurricane fury, damage would be 50-80% higher. 

 

It's not useful to ask "what's the highest damage you've seen" - I'm sure someone has done cart tornado with dual megs and a +12 HF and all sorts of other epic, crazy gear. It's damage is proportional to attack, and the formulas for attack are in the wiki, so it's not terribly complicated to calculate the expected improvement in damage; It's good for the soul, to do math like that.

Get a pair of Snowier Accessories and Unfrozen Armor. That'll save you tons on healing supplies.

 

I have a +12 Hurricane Fury and I do about 8k-9k damage with Axe Tornado at level 110. 

 

A decent chunk of the damage comes from VIT and your base level, so it does get a bit stronger, I've seen videos of axe Mechanics at higher levels doing around 15k damage with it. 

 

But you could be doing way more damage than that at lower levels with a Mado Build and Arm Cannon.

ah k i only ask how much dmg have you seen with AT just to get an idea on the dmg output with better weapons i cant afford a Hurricane fury since im fairly new to the server. but thaniks for the info

yea im trying to avoid mado atm till i have more zeny eventually plus i like the classic axe mech tyty im also a few mill away from buying a giant axe and getting a +7 cert on in till i can afford it...would this be a good axe for mvping or should i get a sheild instead for more def/options?

Hey iv been playing Ragnarok for 12 years now and IRO CHAOS before there was even Warportal about 6 years, I have a Mechanic lvl 125/34 and using:

 

 

+7 Malicious Tornado Axe

 

+9 Sea Captain Hat

 

+9 Immune Supplement Part Con

 

+4 Supplement Part Str

 

Robust Supplement Part Dex

 

+4 Temporal Vit Boots Of Witch

 

My Mechanic Axe Tornado build. With the:

Sea Captain Hat you get additional 20% damage Axe Tornado.and additional 1% for ea Weapon Research AND additional 1% for ea Axe Mastery, I max both Weapon Research and Axe Mastery to 10. So that's additional 20% damage Axe Tornado. 40% with +9 Sea Captain Hat.

+ 24% damage from Tornado Axe with Axe Tornado.

+ 25% damage with Bonus set Supplement Part Str and Supplement Part Con Axe Tornado.

 All together you get 89% + damage when using Axe Tornado.

My stats are:

 

100+9 STR

50+6   AGI

102+9 VIT

30+7   INT

70+6   DEX

0+10   LUK

 

did i miss anything out? Hmmm if i did i will edit post

FYI, Sea Captain's hat seems to be bugged. It gives the initial damage boost, but the refine effects don't seem to work. 

 

This thread is super old, and so may not be the best use of one's time (there are more current mechanic discussion threads going on still).

 

When leveling my axe mech, I found that getting 40k tornados was easily doable with OK gear on neutral element enemies. I would often swap to less damage and more resistance/hp leech, but that's a different story. 

 

sidenote: I'm no sure if the axe tornado boost from the gear (sea captain's hat, supplement part combo) stacks additively with the 25% from the wind elemental weapon. Those may actually multiply together, which is ideal.

Iv tested seems to be working fine, since the 3rd jobs are new there bound to be one or two bugs but that was like 6 years ago haha, trust me you can use the items safely, the hard part is getting the gear to +9.

additive, i assume it'd be the same with bellum guillotine

 

Iv tested seems to be working fine, since the 3rd jobs are new there bound to be one or two bugs but that was like 6 years ago haha, trust me you can use the items safely, the hard part is getting the gear to +9.

 

still bugged tested now, with w.researc10 and axe mastery10 lesser damage compared with supp part con (40% vs 25%)

The reason I say it may be multiplicative is because the of the way the skill works with the bonus. For example, the fire endow on ignition break adds 500% damage to the base skill mod, so I am curious if it is a separate 1.25x mod for the axe tornado. This could be tested, but I reset my mech to mado and ultimately, it won't be a huge difference anyway. 

 

Sea Captain hat is for sure not giving full bonus, tested +0 versus +9, and they both gave same damage with the appropriate skills maxed. Sad, but eh. It's still... _good_, but not as good.

Do be corrected the item is not bugged its just most users doesnt know the secret to make equipment do 89%-100% damage

I seem to be misunderstanding you. Are you saying the Sea Captain's Hat gives the full 40% damage boost at +9?

yea im saying you get 40% extra attack with +9 Sea Captain Hat. When you refine to +7 every job level of Weapon Research give you additional +1% attack damage on Axe Tornado, And when you refine to +9 every job level of Axe Mastery give you additional +15 attack damage on Axe Tornado.

That's hardly a 'secret', that's just the description. However I've tested the hat very recently and I can confirm for 100% that the bonuses - apart from the base 20% - currently do NOT work. It's actually very easy to verifiy these things on Mech with Maximize Power and a non-upgraded weapon, as you'll always get the exact same damage. I've sent a Bug Ticket about this issue with all the details and got a reply saying that this is a known bug and WP is aware of it (but no confirmation on that it'll be fixed at some point).

 

While we're at it, I can confirm that the ATK bonus from Madogear License does NOT work when you're not in a Mado Suit. I've seen at a lot of places people mention certain Mado skills to give bonuses outside of Mado, appearently this was changed at some point and is now false information. I haven't tested the Remodel Mainframe yet.

Exactly, and there are a lot of things still dont working properly, but i never check about Madogear license since now lol.
