Hello, all. My problem is this:

after... ammm... could be  june 11, those two keys stopped working on Ro, for example, when i try to use Open buying store (its on F8 key) it doesn't work. and every skill i use on F8 and F9 dont work...

I tried this things:

☻ Modify shorcut key settings on RO--> modify---> set to default keys.

zzzzzzzzzzz_zps725d53d1.jpg

☻  Test those two keys in another program... result: they work (tested using fraps and MS word)

☻ Looking for another program with a shorcut on those keys... nothing found...

I hope you guys can help me... and sorry for my english, im still learning :x

Have you tried using your mouse wheel? My F7, and F8 work with my mouse wheel, activate them using the command /quickspell2, for F9 (which is right click on the mouse) use /quickspell

Use F12 to put the skills on the corresponding keys, hope that helps.

Try the F lock key if your keyboard has one.

This is typically because of another application installed on your computer intercepting the keystrokes to control some functionality of that other application.

Uninstall that other application (whcih you probably installed around the time that the problem started), or use battle mode and different keys.

Finally my problem is solved, the thing i did was deleting the savedata folder, after login again, it started to work correctly.

Thanks all for your help.

(but, why this happened?)

Weird - I haven't heard of this happening before either. If you still have the old contents of your savedata folder, can you post UserKeys.lua (either open it with notepad and copy/paste, or put on a file hosting service, or pm me and I'll give you an email to send it to)? That might contain some clues as to what happened and whether there might be better interventions.

I'm mighty confused as to how this could happen, since in your screenshot, the client clearly thinks F8 and F9 are set as expected, so at worst, I'd have expected it to work until the client was restarted...

Do the following in order:
  • If the F8 and F9 keys are mapped to special functions, such as adjusting the brightness of the display, then configure the function keys to behave normally. Your computer's documentation should explain how to do this.
  • Check whether another application is using F8 and F9 as global shortcuts, and if so, then either map the shortcuts to different keys or disable them.
  • Close any and all open clients and then delete the file CIF\savedata\UserKeys.lua, where CIF is the path to the IRO client installation folder.
