So there comes a question of what drops to keep, what to NPC [To sell to any NPC]?( ゚д゚)ノ ハイ!質問!

Apparently there are a lot of them that you'll never need in either crafting or quests, while some of them are not frequently used so you can either keep some of them or NPC them. Also, some of the are easily obtained by decomposing items using Disassemble Skill in Basic Skills Tab.

I ended up with my own spreadsheet of what drops that I'm going to keep and dump. ☆ヽ(最´∀`高)ノ★

This is just for reference & might not live up to everyone's expectation, this aims for new players who want to know what they should keep or dump when their inventory/ storage are full.

Hereunder I attach the link to my spreadsheet on Google Docs.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Update (01/07/2014): Some items which are not in the list are not totally useless but their actual utility stays poor, not much people use those crafted items (using those mats) unless they use them as costumes or...etc.
I will not mention them in the sheet & I meant to keep them be discovered as players need some certain items.
For example: By Zurn
Limpid skin is actually used in these
Glasses Frame: 2 Limpid Skin required
Dork Glasses: 2 Limpid Skin required
Thick Framed Glasses: 2 Limpid Skin required
Pierrot Nose: 2 Limpid Skin required
Pinocchio Nose : 2 Limpid Skin required
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Update (02/07/2014): Here comes the site that you might/should use to know what materials a certain item gives. Good to know if you plan to disassemble things. :)

http://rose.kuro-tejina.com/

For example:

- For Beam Blade: I disassemble Anima Staff (Arumic Merchant in City of Junon Polis)

- For Earth Blade: I personally disassemble Velvet Coat of Witch (in Luna, Magic City of Euca)

***Anima Staff also gives a lot of Libra Stone, which is used in crafting lv.70 armors & lv80 weapons.

Thanks Zurn.

I red-crossed the Limpid Skin as those above-mentioned items are not generally used by a good number of players.

I meant to exclude some drops with not great use in crafting from the list due to their actual usefulness, & I thought at some point, players should be able to figure out on their own. (Please correct me if I'm wrong).

This is a great starter point for new people like myself here at this server. It's all been quite confusing to learn, but this will help a great deal. Thanks! :)

I've already been referring to the wiki to get a handle on how many of each material I'll need to make space for. This document is a great aid for that especially to help prioritize which mats are more often used. Thanks for making it!  In my experience, devs sometimes decide to put unused mats into new craftable content so I'll probably keep some of everything I pick up just in case but it's nice to have something like this to use as a guide ^^

in the wiki there are a whole bunch of Mana items (Mana Oil, Mana Metal etc) that seem to be used for crafting Castle Gear and I don't see those on this list. Are they no longer used to make CG?

One thing important to mention for new players is the fact that disassembling is very random. You will never get the same material or quantity, even if you diss identical items. So if you're planning to make an artisan, the best way to get the materials you need to craft is to pick up your drops.

Depending on what I want to do I use stuff to boost certain stats to my needs~ But over all I actually have a list off all the materials used in crafting on Google somewhere. Has the amount of the items I have, and how much more I need to get a max stack (999).

I just like having the option to craft stuff in case they update the items to have more desirable stats.

These are used for cart crafting. No mats for CGs drop, unless they changed it. The Rose Wiki is not correct in the mats department at this time. If you wish to build a CG, the mats are obtained at the Honor Items Shop (Henry I think?).

 Thanks for clarifying that. I'm a loooong way from even thinking about crafting CG but once the rollback is over and we can finally sort our storages, I want to set mine up right the first time so I can forget it and concentrate on leveling. :P

People from my old server will be a bit more confused at first because when we would disassemble an item, we always got back (for the most part) roughly half of the same mats that it took to craft the item. Usually the cloth would be a lower grade but generally speaking you'd know what you would get.  If you were mass crafting a certain kind of mask to get a specific stat, you could diss the crap ones and keep retrying using the mats you got from dissing. We could buy items from an npc for example, and know we'd get white fur or silver thread etc. so that was another way for an artisan to replenish their materials. Obviously that's completely different here so it takes getting used to.

I do like the many different crafting options here, like crafting blue named items that can have more defense etc. Plus crafting recipes take many less mats than they did where we are from so imo it's all good ^^

ps thanks to you too, Zurn :D

I do diss all my crap crafted stuff for mats recovery. However I see a lot of people just toss them, which is a waste in my book.

Thank fisher for your explanation about mats for CGs.

@HoneyBunz: I didn't mention them in the sheet since they don't drop, the only way to obtain them is from the Honor Shop. ^^

Actually I don't have time and opportunity to vend for mats so most of the time I will disassembe things as I craft a lot.

But I'm pretty sure you can get certain materials if you use this site: http://rose.kuro-tejina.com/

The question is how?:

1) Search for the material(s) you want.

2) There are sereval items that will give you the mats you want, now what to do is pick some items and compare which will give the most.

As you do this again & again, you'll learn which type of item will give what type of mats more than other.

For example: If you're looking for chromnium, Launchers will give more than Armors (Chest will give 4-5 times more than the other parts)

Or if you're looking for Wooden Materials, you should disassemble Staves/ Wands instead.

3) And now just disassemble.

I might spend 2-3 million in discomposing items but I did, I do gain 20m from them. It's not a big amount to veterans but I'm sure it's good to new players.

I do diss all my crap crafted stuff for mats recovery. However I see a lot of people just toss them, which is a waste in my book.

Appreciate the info but I haven't found that method to be very reliable tbh because you might get metal and blades one time and wood or a thread another time when dissing the exact same wand purchased from the npc. If you don't mind what kind of wood you get for example, then dissing wands will certainly give you some if you do enough wands. Unfortunately it's unlikely that a brand new player would be able to afford to buy a lot of items from the npc's to disassemble.

What we are accustomed to, and why this system takes time to adjust to, is that we used to be able to diss an item and always get the same mats back as it took to craft, just half the quantity. For example, here a Silence Wand needs 36 maple wood, 5 bronze and 2 yellowish stones. If we were to diss that item on our old server, we would always get around 18 maple wood, maybe 2 or 3 bronze and perhaps 1 yellowish stone. That doesn't work here.

However, the new changes to the drop system will make it much easier for all players, esp newbies, to gather enough materials to craft items just by picking up their drops along with dissing equipment that they don't need.  I think this will encourage more people to make artisans and that will ultimately benefit the whole community   :)
