i reached lv job 40 already and want to change to assassin cross but i when i talk to Ymit book nothing happened, why so? is that i need to reach lv 99 n job 50 to change?

Yes. You also need about 2 million zeny.

You seem a bit unclear on the rebirth/trans system.
You do First Job (ie, thief) -j 40+-> Second job --lvl 99/50--> lvl 1/1 high novice --job 10-> high first job (high thief) -j 40+*--> trans second job (ie sinx) -base lvl 99-> third job (ie, Guilotine Cross)

*Always go job 50 as trans first job, otherwise you'll regret it. I've done nothing but regret it for the chars i didn't go j50 on.
