Can you phrase that in the Queen's English? Context, context, context. E.g., what "thing"? Dr.Azzy makes Homunculus AI, are you asking about AI? Check his AI thread for that.

He's talking about the fix for the ancient missing characters bug. The old missing characters bug, which I had posted a fix for, does not exist as far as I am aware anymore. It happened due to a missed update, but the current client download dates to after that update. Applying the old fixes would break a properly updated client. 

 

Thus, I conclude that you have a different bug, and you should post more information on it! I've gotten a PM about this as well, though the person didn't respond after my reply, so I think there may be a new bug that exhibits similar symptoms - but nobody experiencing it has provided any sort of debugging information. 

 

 

Note that if you last played that long ago, the client will NOT be able to patch, you'll need to reinstall.

a window pops up when I try to play RO, titled ExecuteButton

in it, it reports SkinInfo_NEW.luna.219 attempt to call global`C_isSteamOn' (a nil Value)

 

but if I run classic it seems to work just fine, only I don't have access to previous existing characters

 

So I tried loging on with a older computer with Vista and Everything is there even my old characters.

 

The PC Im using now is running on windows 8 which is probably the source of my problems.

The major issue right now is that when I try to run Setup on Ragnarok there is no selection for screen size only.

I'd love to play RO again but omg its being a hassle

This problem can be resolved by opening the file in the IRO client installation folder named Patchup.exe.

The Classic server, Classic Loki, is separate to the Renewal server, Chaos, which is why it has a separate client and your characters aren't accessible while using it.

I had to uninstall then re install and do a lil digging in the forums. And the patch manual update did work
As well as having to match screen sizes/settings for both RO/classic. It all worked thx !

Thx 4 the info it worked, and I got my characters on chaos. And I know how chaos and Loki work, thank u
