ALL-IN-ONE Zeny guide is here!  

 

Everytime I go to Prontera to check out AH, I can always see those newbies were shocked seeing the over-inflated zeny price in AH.  This guide is for helping players including newbies understand that there are various methods of making zeny, with or without using real money.

 

First of all, I'm no expert in zeny making...I need everyone here to help sharing your ideas here.  I will update this first post.

 

Rule #1: Do not feel intimidate by the unreasonable/over-inflated zeny price in AH.   Many of those are people who purposely put a very high price for storage purpose.

 

I'll divide into two big categories; Using Kafra Shop and Without using kafra shop.  Of course, by using Kafra shop, it is always the fastest way to make money, but that doesn't mean it is impossible to make zeny without using kafra shop.  However, u may need more times.

 

 

Using Kafra Shop:

 

Method 1:

Simply check which Kafra items are the most in-demand and can convert to the highest KP rate.  Then sell it for zeny.

Using KP:
Buy KP during times of sale, you make the most profit when items are sold half the price at the kafra mall item.

W/O KP

Players mostly want 2 things in this game, costumes & gears. The latter includes anything that increases stats like runes, seedrunes, cards, upgrades, honed gears. Blue/Red seedrunes can be acquired from Fallen Fortress Mobs(lvl50 at least i think), groups of mobs that stun, silence, slow, poison, etc. Be warned. Also the Queen & Immortal Bosses drops them (you want Queen for more seeds) though these bosses spawn 4 hrs. Greenseeds from chaos though you need prereq quests to enter.

For cards, players say you combine 3 AoD card set then get 2 Osiris Cards for best results w/c you could actually wear even at lvl50. Don't bother farming below lvl50 cards just like below lvl50 gears. If you have played pre-AOV, STC cards or such cards and blue upgrade cards like Executer Meister & Abrahim are rendered obsolute. Even AoD cards tend to be obsolete since, Osiris Card got AP(more damage like green seed power rune), crit, vigor & penetration(ignores defense & good anti-tanks & players w/ +20 refined gears). And since AP is %, the higher your lvl & overall damage, the higher it will be. Hunt AoD cards though requires prereq dungeons & most likely you'll get green cards that you'll combine into blue cards that dont really sell nowadays. Move to farm Osiris Cards w/c is easily soloable even at ML11+.

Upgrades are the cost efficient in terms of getting your character in boost. Though don't bother below Osiris Gears. W/ ML30 Cap people will now look for Himmelmez's Gears upgraded or not. Use +10 Immediate Refine Stones since upgrading to get to a +10 is hardest than goin for 20. Then find a gold refine refiner for greater chance of success. Sell them gears or use them. PS: Luck required.

Honed Gears = Luck required. Also honing got more stats from 4 star gears but it's really luck. Some 2 star honed gears can beat them in stats. Gears are crafted and you need the recipe to start it w/. Get gold crafter from ranking for better crafted star results. During Osi i could solo and craft meself a 4 star. Can't solo Dark Whisper Bosses now though tanks got them pretty easily. You could try partying though like pre-AOV and get the loot via dice w/c is luck again or do it in a guild.

Costumes: Some want appearance, some for stats. Costumes have slots and can max to 3, and you can put up to +10 rune each. A hefty amount of stats if you get them all and a real boost. Depends on the buyer mostly for prices though handy if you've got something to sell that they really want.

I guess that's it. Also there are events that gives items most likely obtainable only from Kafra Shop. You could actually farm everything you want except some Kafra Shop only obtainable items. But people are too lazy to do that.

I never really thought about this one. So AH can be used for storage too huh.

I use it as storage all the time.. BUT! it comes at a price! I forgot I left a bunch of my costumes on AH and a week later they were sent to my mailbox, but mails have certain duration.. 30 days i think and I was on hibernation at that time.. so goodbye recruit costume with stats and a whole lot other costumes and accessories ;_;

This post is off topic.. where is the actual zeny farming guide? you just talk about items and gears not farming zeny

Any idea about farming with non healing or non ranged character? like warrior,knight,sin,rogue where to farm zeny for them? i have a warrior ML15 and i cant farm in muka because its too hard for me to farm there. unlike SM,ranger,priest,sorc. they can kill from a far or they can heal them self so they can farm with no problem.

Buy potions from the camp near Mukas if you need it. The cost of potions in comparison to what you'll be earning is insignificant. 

 

 

My tips:

1. Indirect zeny gain by decreasing spending - for lower levels: Don't save or stock up things that don't scale well into the game; for example, early potions and gears; Use them all so you level faster. But, DO keep the very valuable items that do scale and/or are much effective later, such as the free VIP cards and % based potions and EXP manuals. I used my VIP cards when I started Osiris grinding = so much savings! $$$$$$$$$$$$$

 

2. As an Artisan or Blacksmith, hunt for recipes and open up a craft shop in town. It also doesn't hurt to keep the Trade channel in chat on (although it may get spam-my) since people would look for crafters there. If you get all the recipes yourself, theoretically, your earnings from this have no corresponding cost. Not very sure if this is well applicable to the other two jobs, but yeah, people need Pillarnium craft too.

 

3. For low levels again: Plan your missions and khara so you spend minimal resources in finishing them. It doesn't hurt to be a completionist since you get a lot of money from the rewards but it's not practical if you lose more than what you gain if you waste resources.

 

4. On markets and economies in general - for anything new that pops up in the game, the price will usually skyrocket on the first few hours (in any case) and will either drop or get even higher depending on what kind of item that is; i.e. Event quest items. The price stabilizes later so if you picked one up early and you're sure you'll still get another later, it wouldn't be bad to sell it off early, then re-farm later or buy it cheaper. 

 

No idea about KP-related tips. All my purchases so far went onto my character. XD
