Patch Notes v520

Special Note regarding Locked/Bound "on Acquire" restrictions.

We've updated the restrictions to allow for some final flexibility:

  • If Valor/Honor equipment existed in your character inventory at the time of the restriction change, you are able to conduct one final vend or trade to which the items will then be locked to the receiving character.
  • Additionally under the same conditions stated above, you will also be able to place the equipment in to your Account Storage, in order to transfer the equipment to an appropriate character, however be warned once you remove the item(s) from storage, they will become locked to that character!

 

 

Could someone explain this to me?  :p_conf:

@ Buffies: Your locked items that were in your inventory before the 'lock'-patch can be sold/traded/vended/stored 1 time before becoming locked to their new owner.

 

Right... I personally don't like the character lock at all !

 

At this moment it's easier to get to max level than to own the proper +15 pvp/pvm gear incl. jewelry & gems.

If i allrdy have a maxed out champ (gear/lvl) and i would like to try a knight, i have to farm the same content for ages all over again for the same gear.

What i want to say is that if you take this comfort (free trade/vending market) away from players, you have to give something in return!

 

I used to farm Scavenger Kings in Orlo (1.5 years ago) because they gave good drops (lisent hg/u/epics) which made me able to get my gear +15 and earn some cash.

You guys somehow decided to remove them with normal blue/green mobs and 1 king spawn spot!

 

How am i supposed to get my new gear (trade restrictions!) to +15 now? The lisent hg/u drop is just too low...

Please bring back those Scavenger Kings like it used to be in Orlo, this way it will compensate a bit for the fact that it is just impossible to get new gear +15 without years of farming...

 

Also... If you are able to understand the %-principles of the drop tables, you might want to take a look at the percentages of refining.

 

The character lock is really demotivating, because i know how much effort (years & billions of zulies) it takes to get 1 toon geared.

 

Therefore please if you take this away from us, give something in return;

- bring back multiple scavenger kings in Orlo

- make refining easier

- a new planet

- ...

I think it is time to add some fun to the game.  Not sure what everyone would want but after all the class balancing, changing and resetting your characters constantly and the binding restrictions it is time for some fun to get people back to playing instead of standing around chatting and bring some of the people back that are so unhappy.  I know Leo says just as many people are playing now as a year or two ago but so many log in just to chat then go afk or log out.  My clan, with 50 people in it all of the time is so quiet.  People log in, see what others are doing, chat and then log out.  I know that most of my clan are veteran players so that might be part of it, but in general I see people constantly complaining in Junon about how bored they are.  

 

Before the next big class change or drop tables being fixed or other mechanics are added maybe something to add some fun and possibly some interactions would be a good thing.  Maybe a new PVP game or revamp the Akram Arena so that people will join it, or maybe a new dungeon, or new areas of Orlo to explore, or a quest that will take a bit to complete and can be done with other people, I would assume the Devs have something on the back burner they could implement sooner instead of later.  Clan skills, clan house, clan wars, clan quests. 

 

Re-doing the artisan and the crafting system is a great goal and having those farming nodes is all good, but if people don't really care or play what good will that do?  I know we need to get new players, but I think it is as important if not more so to keep old players.  The way to keep old players that have hung on through all of the changes is to keep them busy and happy as best that you can.  To be honest, in my opinion, it is the old players that have kept this game alive along with the Devs.  

 

A lot of the recent changes have been seen as demoralizing and negative.  I know they are being done with good intent and to better the game in the long run, but sometimes it is hard to hang on or keep people interested if it is mostly seen as negative directed towards the players.  To make the game more viable to new players and attractive as a game the game does need to be "modernized", but the veteran players also need a reason to hang on through all of the changes.

I would like to have Akram Arena back as before. That I think would bring back players and bring back the old memories. I think I did Akram Arena 2 times and I didnt knew what I was doing, but I heard many happy things about Akram Arena. So I would like to have Akram Arena back as before.

make game arena a lottery system .-. 

 

and if possible, a dungeon where the king has several different attacks (cant be exploited by debuffs)

Bug.. my Chiva/Courage set.. even though I have equipped it, it didnt get LOCKED status.. i unequip and reequip it like 10 times.. it still asks me if I am sure I want to equip it etc etc.. and still isnt locked.. so it is annoying.. i believe its a bug :)

Equipping is not the same as "acquiring". We've put some consideration behind the restrictions, so that when the item enters a character's inventory (not storage) it will trigger the condition. This means, you can trade, vend, or store the item one last time to try and move it to where you want it to be. But as explained, be warned that whatever character the item goes to, it will trigger and lock/bind to that character upon entering their inventory.

 

It is not a bug, it is intended. It's to prevent future honor/valor and other such equipment we did not want to be freely tradable, to act under the new restriction, while the existing items will have that last moment of being part of the old ways.

 

befor my precious raptor is --> restriction is: character locked on equip

now the restriction is : character locked.

even the holder of the precious raptor is cleric...

therefor i can not trade my precious raptor to my raider ... :(

Valor/Honor equipment was never locked on equip.
 

Remains blocked, there's no way to trade :/

You had a piece of equipment that was already locked then. This only applies to equipment that is still under the "Locked/Bound on Acquire" restriction.

 

 

What was blocked was a spear that does not use the Cleric I would move to champion I forgot, after the upgrade I logged I was like "Locked / Bound on Acquire" I tried to move and could not reloguei and appeared as "Locked / Bound "had not equipped the spear because my char is a cleric.

The Honor and Valor equipment were never "on equip" as a condition. Only "acquire" which means, you traded to the Cleric after the update went in and it locked to that character. The thing about this notice, is that it actually didn't change the behavior that was originally set, we only added the ability to trade/vend so long as it wasn't already locked/bound.

The Player Experience Team works hard for the community and can be reasonable with requests knowing the updates we've been having. :) I'm glad to hear it's been resolved.

O.o when did that happen?

Such a high ammount of bosses at one spot was definitly a bug.

you are lucky, i sent tickets regarding my akram kingdom set on my vendor and full support cleric, they said NO .. So i stop playing ... Im just going to read the forums once in a while , hoping something new in the game or the devs might listen to their player

yea PD this happened about 2 years ago .. There were many scavengers but im not sure whether it was king or scavenger something

There were spots with 10+ bosses, but all of them were results of bugs and got fixed a few days later.

i really need to ask some thing why u change the stat on exalted winter gear why you always nerf the mage :S 

In my haste, I may have accidentally changed the wrong stats. I will double check and correct as necessary.

These items are locked on acquire, which means you recently shifted them from their original location or brought them out of storage, which locked them to that character.

I bought it, the quest gives out random job tears though will it be locked by then or also locked on aqquire?

As i recall, it were scavenger kings. They were spawning in a particular spot. Good drops making them awesome farming mobs. Bring them back plz. Orlo is boring now.
