I made it to the Valkyrie who gives me a scroll to summon her and I have to go find some pieces of a pipe. I was warped to the test map and all my gear was stripped from me. I reequipped all my gear and then used to scroll to summon my valkyrie and immediately received a LUA script error that would endlessly loop when I would click OK. I had to CTRL+ALT+DEL to force close the game. I was able to research the error and downloaded some updated AI files that allow me in to the game now. However, my character was warped back to his Kafra save location and when I go back to speak to the Valkyrie to start over the NPC is no longer there on odin_temp2 map and I no longer have the scroll to summon her. What am I supposed to do?

in the wiki for the job change it says the following

 

"If the NPC is not there, walk 7~11 cells directly south of it, and it will appear"

 

give that a go ^_^

Walking south then back north did make the NPC appear. Thanks!
