Let me state it again, the easy solution is to let them merge to our server WITHOUT transferring zeny and gears. They just keep their character level and that's it.

As I have updated my point of view in the other post already.  

I'm 100% welcoming SEA players to merge with our server while LIMITING their zeny and prevent item duplicates.  Total wipe of zeny and gears is not fair for them

Well, we can suggest all we want. But I bet those guys won't let go of their zeny and gears that easy :v If wp does change it and wont allow zeny/gear transfer, they'll hear QQs from the sea players. If they leave it as it is, our side will QQ. No winning this one :V

CMMaridah's Thread is closed now so can't give feed back. but in my opinion merging their character alone is a loss already for warpportal community. immagine they don't have to buy master battle manuals, spinels, worse is taking all their expensive items runes, costumes like ocu. its like a diamond losses its rarity value if you turn it into a common earth stone. stoned! its sad coz if that happens my items will also depreciate its value and I used kafra points to buy most of them.

imy we don't have to do server merge, if warportal don't have enough money to make a new server for the sea players, they can just remove some channels from odin (it has 14 channels) maybe they can give 5 or 6 channels to migrating sea players to create a new server like odin, 14 channels are not fully occupied maybe we can have 9 channels in odin and 5 channels for sea players. no flames/racism intended. just giving a good suggestion thanks!

removing channels on a certain database(server) is CLEARLY DIFFERENT than adding a new database. even if they remove some channels, thats still not gonna cost more than adding a new one. besides, dont you want all of us on same server? i know they have unexplained items, zenies,seeds,etc.. but all of us want is more people on server. thats why cm maridah had created a thread(which it was closed) for us to provide a feedback and suggestions on our side so they will come up to a decision which would be fair on both sides.Its called "brainstorming"

SEA server is one year advanced in money and player experience, It's not that we don't want any sea players here, it is fun having more people around and I also played on sea last year then stopped, it's just that the economy and experience is not balanced enough. I just thought that we all start from scratch/zero server wipe but that is an insane idea, most people will quit but there will be balance hehehe! anyways, let's all just find more ways how to deal with this rather than to flame everyone. thanks!

they already said there will be a conversion and sea players won't bring all zeny and items as they are now, so no one is breaking the economy. as this matter was already established i don't understand why some iro2 players still oppose the merger. i guess some people only wanna to see the glass half empty.

 

and yes there were plenty of racist comments that will make sea players feel really unwelcomed here.

And we have said we will limit the zeny and remove duped items via item restrictions, so yes we do understand.

 

We are going to limit what items are coming over,
we are going to limit the zeny that is coming over

 

We are not going to Wipe out zeny and items though as that would be unreasonable.

 

 

or if you are refering to the racist comments there were numerous sea players bashing posts, especially in the very long sea merger feedback (now closed) topic. mostly focused on the idea that all sea players are cheaters and that this is 'our' server (not exactly sure what 'ours' means but i guess something like ours=na) and they are not wanted here, or they can be tolerated here if they start from scratch or 'neekid' because 'we' are doing them a favor anyway. (somewhere along those lines). I don't wanna quote any examples because i don't wanna point out anyone, my point here is for peace & harmony

As for opening a new server, there is a fatter hardware foot print than just the channels.  If we opened a world of just the SEA players it would not serve any use in reinforcing the player numbers, combining the players and inspiring proper levels of competition is a better option.

We very well may open another server, but it's function would be a fresh start server that all our communities could join, rather than a continuation server.
