Curious, why are RO1-type events like the pirate events so rare? (Doing an event quest to get a special event item like a permanent headgear/outfit.) People like myself who participate in events on RO1 don't really care for item conversion events so why are they so common in RO2 compared to RO1ish events?
It is a matter of whether development can implement quest suggestions. Items that are created just for such purposes require the item models to be made, and it's not a quick process. My predecessor Zanbee and Njoror have made plenty of event suggestions, but only a select amount were able to be put into the game. We'll still make the event plans and request the content, but it's up to development on if they can put the time and resources into making bigger events happen. I'm hoping now that their attention isn't as divided on different RO2 clients as it once was we could see a bit more of a success rate in getting cooler events implemented.

Wouldn't really have to make that many new items, as there are plenty of in-game headgears (like permanent versions of straw hat, gas mask, Santa Hat, or flower hairband) that would make great event reward items. Permanent headgears are a big thing in RO1 and players like myself would like to revive that in RO2.

To build upon what Maridah had said, we've actually put together more extensive event proposals, but sometimes the development schedule does not allow for additions. This includes small changes, which sometimes require longer to prepare and implement.
The devs work on several updates at the same time, some that aren't planned for months away, so it's really dependent on the current workload for what they can implement.
Not sure if this answers your question, but hopefully got closer.

lol nope....... WAY back in Feb they told us they were going to do skill updates all next month in march, they hired VCR's to help them with feedback.
its now september ...... Where are the skill updates?
I believed that we got a balance (or imbalance skill) for each class per month :v . For now, priest, Cres, SM, Sin,Rogue got some changes to their skill already. And I still wait "forever" for my sorc skill update :'(

I would like to know if there's a site where I can see what items can not be fused to 3 slots. It seems there's so many items that I have tried to fuse for more slots have failed and found out later that it hasn't been implemented yet. It was costly in time, effort and money. (And I have to add - very, very stressful!!!)

I was really hoping for a drop rate buff for cazar gear.
They will, yeah, in december, when the new Ignatius gear is coming. Doesn't seem they are aware of the drop rate % of the cazar items..
Keep waiting, as everything in here is, keep waiting..

question. why is it that when a maintenance is over, when i'm about to log in it says "can't connect to server" until after 6 hours? why do i always have to wait 6 more hours until that problem dissapears, right after maintenance ends?
The maintenance isn't over yet.
