The restart is going to fix the party share issue.

Here's what's going on and why you are all very correct about the experience feeling lowered.

If in a party, and you see the monster as yellow or above, there was a typo and it was resulting in a penalty as if the monster was light blue. This will be immediately fixed, as you've seen, a maintenance announcement has been made.

We do apologize for the inconvenience this has caused anyone and we'll discuss a short term experience bonus period to help recover the effort.

^ This! :) Thank you so much Sir Leonis for your immediate response and solution ;)

Servers are back up!

I will try to experiment party sharing later and compared it from the experiences we gained before this patch v30 and after, since I both have screenshots of those.

I will be back in-game when I return to my home, thanks Sir ShazamO :)

I dont think you fixed the exp problems. I've seen a cap before when killing blue to gray mobs. But never on Green and above, specially purple ones. My party is 2 char, lvl 95 and 93. I keep hitting the ceiling as it is.. the killer lvl 95 is topped at 19579 on every kill and the other is lower at 11834. thats at party lvl 6.  yes as party lvl goes up so does the exp, about 300 per party lvl. im in forgotten temple killing shaman ghosts.

Well, we did a number of fixes for the experience yield when in a party. There was a cap, but due to poor formula and coding in the original design, it would never reach the cap check, and along with several other factors that were missing, just wasn't working how we believed it to be. In some cases, it unfortunately, also means that some factors were giving more experience than was also intended.

What started this was wanting to fix something that has not been working as desired, for a very, very long time, and was finally fixed. Costume bonuses properly increasing party gains from party play. Experience should now be properly split between every member in the party, as well as each party member now has proper level considerations between the one that receives the experience, and the monster that was defeated, instead of it being based on the killer's level.

Looking forward to what you have to say!

Something that isn't usually kept in mind is that when you are in a party, experience is split from the monster defeated. We've put in place modifiers to help the split not be a straight split, and the party leveling will also help restore that as it increases in level. The experience gained should not be compared to what is earned as a solo player, because in a party, it is not intended that you are the only one doing the work! Everyone who's agreed to be in the party has a claim to any experience gained from a defeated monster.

Try looking at how much experience is gained in total (by each player) than what you would get alone. And time how much experience you gain over time, with the party, rather than as a solo player as well.

This was actually what I test out first before getting inn a party. I never hit a 'ceiling' solo killing the shaman ghost. Solo I got around 32k exp. After a few party lvls it looks like between the 2 party members the exp is close to maybe a bit more then solo. So that part looks to be working. least for me.

Hi Sir Leonis! I just want you to know that I made same party today at same spot at Orlo and fortunately, we are getting normal experiences from monster now and party level is working correctly now too. What a huge difference changes now! thank you for the fix :)

Actually, lowering the experience for each kill would be a great idea for making the game more interesting on a longer run. Too bad everyone's already so far up in the game...
