Out of curiosity, anyone else experiencing this? I lost about 10k MP including previous deaths because of this...
Yes, I killed myself using battle leap, and no this isn't a cliff jump

Battle Leap is a retarded skill and made me abandon my warrior after leveling it to ML30.
It's a skillshot, meaning you have to aim it and land it by yourself.
IT'S A SKILLSHOT THAT CAN MISS EVEN IF YOU AIM IT AND LAND IT RIGHT.
So being a warrior was a kitefest, even nerfed to hell rangers would kite me and laugh at me while I did the walk of shame trying to catch them.
And as you pointed out, that's not even the ugliest part, most gap closers tend to do stuff like this, Knights, Monks and Bears get stuck on animation, Assassins and Warriors get to kill themselves on demand. I guess it's related to how the game engine handles character positioning or who knows.

battle leap sucks lol
I've been playing Assassin while they do something for warriors.... i got tired of being kited around or perma stun to death.

Could anyone experiencing this problem screenshot the map coordinates or exact locations where these deaths occur frequently? I'd like to document it with a bug report video to help it get fixed sooner.

Top 3 locations where I died using battle leap:
1) Dayr Desert - Mukas (Hill Area)
2) Verta Delta - Treevil
3) Road of Blessing - Desert Fugus

Do you happen to have any screenshots of these deaths where the precise map coordinates are visible?

Sorry, I was really pissed and never really got the ss after dying, but the muka area on dayr is pretty precise, just on the hills.

I feel your frustration. Being kited to death is no fun at all. In colosseums having VIP, good wind seed, WoE castle buff if possible and Wind pot always on is a must for warriors. If you have these, ranged classes become a lot more vulnerable and not so fearsome as before to us.

The battle leap of death happened to me also a few times, mainly in Verta Delta and Izlude. It is well-known bug but hard to reproduce, it seems so random.

Same, happens to me a lot. Always makes me smile.

Acrobatics can also kill via fall dmg bug, but more to the point: this is Thread Necromancy.....

I died from acrobatics before maint today, I was doing Alchemist's stone daily was 14/15, did an acrobatic for the lulz of it, rip dead. Respawned at Jawaii, MP loss, had to run all over again back to the dayr dogs. Q.Q

That was where I first discovered Acro-Death; in Dayr, right after the AoV patch, before party xp bonus, when ML20 was max...
I sent a ticket, and I recall the support staff was 'unable to reproduce' the bug. They did eventually reimburse lost MP, however.
If you care about the MP loss, and took a SS, you can send a ticket in to staff. At this point, I just take fall damage sans ticket.
