Why is the white potion box not a consumable that you can pop anywhere?

^ Would like to know as well. While this does help with the white potion purchasing Praise-the-Lord but you're forcing us potters to pot in the annex or Payon, at these specific locations.

 

While this is a definite step in the right direction, in my mind a box that lets you open this anywhere AND while in storage is a bigger impact. We still have to get the Witch Starsand in storage. (can't you make it like a boxed item such as what you do with KP items & rare drops such as Odin's Blessing, Fricca's Circlet, etc.?)

 

Our potting process now will be:

 

1. Buy Tokens

2. Setup potting party in Annex, and Payon. (why are the NPC's that far from Kafra in Payon?)

3. Get Witch Starsand from storage

4. Close Storage

5. Open Token

6. Pot - Pot - Pot - Pot - Pot

7. Get SP

8. Open Storage, deposit Slim White Potions, withdraw WSS.

9. Close storage.

 

It's still alot of open & closing storages, so while I hope that it doesn't come off as complaining, I believe the box should be openable while in storage!

Edit: I also just thought of this, perhaps it wasn't meant to be pottable in storage but just a way to fill up our storages faster. I apologize I didn't really think about that, but I still think if we could box it and open it anywhere that would be a bigger impact.

The Alchemist Life Improvements WILL be going in today

One NPC sells the tokens the other exchanges them. Any items lost due to weight or inventory issues with these npcs will not be restored.

 

Are they only in the Annex?

 

Can you also consider flipping the Mail/Storage options on the NPC there? Or just separate the two I guess is another option. But having to think carefully when depositing/removing stuff is going to make it slower especially now that with the two NPCs you'll be encouraged to leave storage while potting.

For balance reasons (IE we don't want players to be able to carry up to 6,000,000 fat whites on them 30,000 x 200) that can be opened anywhere the box is token form. Unfortunately we have seen in the past that if such was made possible a very small minority of the players will abuse it.

Can't you disable the item usage on every map except town Maps or Annex such as what you did with DB's? Or is that still possible to abuse it?

as of now this is not really a help to potting due to having to close storage to use the item

Well, you only have to pull 1 item out and return one item instead of pulling 3 and then  a set of whites, so I guess it helps a bit.

Agreed. If we could open it in storage it would be a monumental impact but as of now this change shaves about ~10-15? minutes on restocking which isn't terrible, but having the option to shave off restock time completely sounds better to me.

Make Tierra BG give the same reward as Flavius. As of now no one even fights in BG because everyone always does Flavius, if you fight in Flavius everyone will hate you.

 

People should be able to pvp while they get badges, not just afk farm it with a few people killing guardians. If you change Tierra to the same reward as Flavius then people will play Tierra and fight.

Tried out the new npc today, what a great quality of life improvement!  I can do 5000 slims per storage use, so it really isn't a big deal at all to go in and out, and the npcs in payon are in range of each other fine.  The npc probably shaved 30% off of my time spent on making potions this week, and I'm not sure it could really be improved much more for me.
